If Wall Street crashes, it'll be bailed out by the taxpayers once more. So you should rephrase that to: "Buy Bitcoin, crash the taxpayers!" Post by: rocks on August 19, 2014, 07:22:52 PM In the end to short sell you have to either: 1) have bitcoin available to short sell or 2) be able to borrow bitcoin from someone to short sell.
This is very different from standard Wall Street operations where they simply create paper out of air and sell that. I don't think there is enough money in destroying bitcoin yet to gain attention from Wall Street. Now a few years from now, if things go well, then sure.
