Post by: mrflibblehat on August 19, 2014, 06:34:13 PM
Hi All,

Is there a later version than http://sourceforge.net/projects/bitcoin/files/Bitcoin/blockchain/ (http://sourceforge.net/projects/bitcoin/files/Bitcoin/blockchain/)? as this is now some months old

Waiting for the wallet to sync takes over a day on my 100mb connection :(

Thanks for any help

using torrent here to download bootstrap.dat seems to be downloading fairly fast taken me a few hours to download the 20GB or so now to dump into Bitcoin and see how long to port.

That takes a long time without enough cpu and disk io

No you can sweep private keys though. Armory is hd, much easier backups

Any configurations needed to get connected on it as seems not connecting up to dl data on it but seeing on it requires to download blockchain so what's the point to having this compared  to using QT

It doubles the disk too. It's much more advanced, I love it. Hd too so no need to refresh backups. Handles multiple wallets, etc.
