Title: Namecoin wallet doesn't show my balance Post by: Mellnik on August 20, 2014, 08:19:28 PM My NMCs do not show up in my NMC client after cold storage testing. Here is what I did:
1. Generated a new private key and wallet.dat on offline Linux machine. 2. Copied public key and sent 2 NMC to it for testing (Transaction: http://explorer.namecoin.info/a/NBdZyGwD6toy2ZA9Efcjhd3huRiCrFWKfX) 3. An hour later I've copied the wallet.dat from the offline machine to my online windows pc via USB. 4. The old wallet.dat has been deleted and replaced by the one generated on the offline computer. So a couple of hours later the NMC wallet still does not show up the 2 NMC which are stored at this address. Even to the entire blockchain was downloaded and I can see the public key in the client.
