Title: Antminer S3 and IP issues Post by: Moki on August 20, 2014, 09:01:06 PM Hey, I'm having some issues with my miners. I was using a linksys router with IP 192.168.1.1 and everything was going fine. However my cable provider said they need to come up grade my modem, so they put in some combination modem/router that uses the IP 192.168.0.1 . I figured I could just change my IPv4 gateway and "Use custom DNS servers" to the new IP address. But now they aren't mining. Any ideas? please help

Any ideas? please help Are your Antminers configured using static IP addresses? if yes, you'll have to change them to match the new subnet 192.168.0.*. If you're using DHCP, then rebooting them on the new network they should pick up the new 192.168.0.* address on their own.Title: Re: Antminer S3 and IP issues Post by: Moki on August 20, 2014, 09:19:55 PM I do have them as static addresses and I changed the gateway and DNS servers to the new 192.168.0.1, but they still aren't mining. I'm just not really sure what else I can do. Or why it isn't working like before.

In other words, they're visible on your network, and you can play around in the web configuration and/or SSH into them?Title: Re: Antminer S3 and IP issues Post by: Moki on August 20, 2014, 09:39:57 PM Ya I can can get into them and change stuff.
Title: Re: Antminer S3 and IP issues Post by: Moki on August 20, 2014, 09:49:18 PM I'm not sure if this helps. but this is the router I'm using "NETGEAR N450 WiFi DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem Router"
Title: Re: Antminer S3 and IP issues Post by: notlist3d on August 21, 2014, 04:05:09 AM If you want to make your life easier change 192.168.0.1 IP of router to 192.168.1.1 as most mining gear seem to use it.
If you might post a screenshot of network settings on your S3 and we can try to help. |
