Title: My reincarnated 5750-Not exactly a reference cooler! Post by: legolouman on April 01, 2012, 08:03:21 PM The fan of my 5750 died a while back, and I refused to break down and buy a new fan. Instead, I re purposed some old cooling bits. It is still a work in progress, and beware, because this is the most jury rigged card I've ever seen. I wanted to make this post, but haven't gotten to test the card. Stock this guy got ~80 at full load.

I love ghetto heatsinks/fans. Any other please post pics in this thread. Title: Re: My reincarnated 5750-Not exactly a reference cooler! This is idle, after just starting W7 https://p.twimg.com/Apb60N3CIAAP3co.png Somehow idling at 55C, stock clocks. Fan speed doesn't really make a difference, since I think it is a 12V fan. This is the fan/copper getup. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835230033 Although I did other things, to assure maximum contact. The stock aluminum cooler bit is really ugly now. EDIT: I tried mining, and it is having a hella hard time combating high temps. I need to work on something for that. |
