I have read a bit of bit coin sportsbooks.  I check and from what i read the main legit sites are


1.  Anonibet
2.  Nitrogensports
3.  Cloudbet
4.  Betcoinsports



I like to bet the american sports only.  Such as MLB, NBA, NFL and NHL.  The sportsbooks that i have had experience with are the offshore books. 


However, when i look at the lines in these books, they are heavily juiced.   I read nitrogensports is a pinnacle clone.. but if thats the case, why is the juice so high?  Example in a baseball game where pinnacle sports or 5dimes which has reduced juice or other books, you have 10 cent lines on the ML and 10 cent lines on the total.


If at pinnacle or 5dimes, you have Seattle -105, Houston will be similarly -105 or so roughly.  If you have a team where they are -170, the other side will probably be -160 or -158 or so.  However if its a book that uses a 20 cent line like bookmaker then it would be +150. 


I looked at a few of these sportsbooks and the juice is very high.  Example i saw a team -168 ML in baseball.  The other side was +135.  Thats a 30 cent line which is ridiculous.  Even the lines in vegas are better.


I did notice that the nfl season, many of these books are -105 or -106 juice.  Thats very good.  However, how can baseball moneyline odds be this high vig?  Even the totals are not that good.  The runlines are even worst.  I mean if you have lines where its +120 one side then -155 the other side, thats a lot of juice.


It doesn't make sense why the juice is so high.  Yes you can bet on games but its going to be very hard to win betting a sport like baseball with that kind of vig. 


Does anyone know if anything will be done soon where the juice gets much better?  Does anyone know how the juice is like for nba/nhl?  From what i see the vig is one of the worst i have ever seen for betting baseball. 

Also another question but why does it seem like all these BTC sportsbook use european odds?  Im only familar with american odds so when i see the european odds, i have to go and type it into a calculator to figure out what 2.08 is equivalent to etc.

As it stands Nitrogen is probably the best BTC book right now. But you are totally right, the juice on these BTC books is ridiculous. My guess is that since most of them are pretty small time operations, they simply can't compete with the larger fiat books so they have higher juice. Also, since they don't check ID and provide anonymity, they probably think some people will pay a premium to bet with them.

Hopefully things improve in the near future as competition increases and fiat sportsbooks start accepting BTC.

Well i would be betting at least $300 a game minimum.  Most likely between $300-$800 a game.  From what i see nitrogen sports the max you could bet on mlb is 1 btc which is around $500.  Is that correct?


So if someone wants to bet more than that, they going to use multiple btc sportsbooks or do they just create another nitrogen sportsbook account?  I mean if one site offers a bet at -108 then the max bet is equivalent to $500, and someone want to bet $500 more, if the other book is -116 juice... then wouldn't someone just create more nitrogen accounts or is that not allowed?


Another question i have is how fast can a person open a coinwallet account then fund it?  I read the faq and then i read that coinbase is no longer good for gambling?  I would mainly use bitcoin only for sportsbetting and nothing else. 

I am a bit partial because I wager 2-3 btc per game sometimes up to 5 btc and have found www.BetcoinSports.com to be the place for me.  I also like a full gaming experience with blackjack and poker.  I also wager at Nitrogen from time to time. 

I recommend using a private wallet, not a wallet on an exchange and purchasing btc from localbitcoins or any exchange and then sending that to your private wallet.  Then send the btc from your private wallet to a wagering website.  When you win, send it back to your private wallet and when you want to cashout send it to an exchange such as coinbase.

BetcoinSports.com starts players at 2.5 btc per wager and you can request higher wagers.  My current max is 5 btc, but I did 10 btc on the Superbowl...to my Denver dismay. 

Nitrogen has been good to me.  Unfortunately it seems like they all have their pluses and minuses.  I'd sign up for a few and then make the big deposit in the one you like.  Anonibet, Nitrogen are two good ones I liked.

I'd use blockchain.info, it's been great for me in terms of security, accessibility, and good for sportsbooks.

I agree with most of what you have written but I would add casinobitcoin in the mix. Their baseball lines are fairly competitive ML, RL and total.

Soccer: Anonibet. Lots of offerings, props, live betting.

For NFL I like:

The lines aren't identical so you can use all three. Some list alt lines.

All of the books allow you to see both European and American odds. There's always an option but many seem to use European as a default. Let me know if you can't find it and I can direct you to it.

Could i see american odds without creating an account?  All the odds i see is when im viewing it as a guest.

I looked at the main ones, anonibet, nitrogen sports and cloudbet.  Only one of them shows american odds.  All others are decimals.

Anonibet : You can change bottom left under the sports listed. Dropdown change from decimal to American.
Nitrogen : If should list both American and Decimal odds at the same time.
Betcoinsports : Top right. Change format from decimal to American.
Casinobitcoin : Same as Nitrogen. List both at the same time.

How much does it cost to move funds to and from blockchain to the btc sportsbooks?  Example let say you want to bet $300 on a game.  Let say the line is -111 so you have to risk $333 to win $300.  Do you just go and deposit the exact amount of bitcoin into the btc sportsbook then after you win, you cashout immediately back to blockchain?  Even if it cost $1, it seems like its probably better to just leave the btc in the sportsbook since you planning to continue betting there... am i right on this?

Another thing.  If you deposit say $5000 worth of BTC into a btc sportsbook, you dont have to wager the exact amount of btc you deposited before you could withdraw the funds?  Example you deposited 10 BTC into the sportsbook but only wagered 2 BTC.  You could then withdraw your entire btc balance?  How much are the fees for this?

Seems like keeping money in a btc sportsbook vs blockchain is pretty much the same thing right?  I mean if you want to withdraw the btc and use it for something else, isn't withdraw time very fast?  But what are the fees for keep moving btc around?

]No fees or very minimal. I pay a miner's fee of .0005 BTC when I deposit. When books pay you back it's either free or a tiny amount. You can transfer your money back and forth whenever you want with most books and you get bet whatever you want. It's different than the cash books where they make you bet 1x before a withdraw. Bitcoin books are a different animal compared to fiat books. There aren't any third party processors and rollovers only apply to bonuses.

I wouldn`t keep a large some of money in a btc sportsbook. Too many sportsbooks disappeared this year with users funds. I would look for a book with instant withdrawals and try to minimize the time you keep your btc in a Bitcoin sportsbook. Your bitcoins will be always safer in your wallet.

I believe the bet limit depends on the sport/league. For some events I know Nitrogen will allow you to bet 1, even 1.5 BTC!

I've never looked into Casinobitcoin but I will certainly check them out.
