Bitcoin was first introduced back in 2008, but over the past year or so the curious cryptocurrency has really hit its stride. Now, Bitcoin may be set to get a huge boost in legitimacy: according to the Wall Street Journal, an eBay-owned online payment company is thinking about ways to integrate Bitcoin into its system. That they consider btc at all should say something to all the doubters, but we won't see any effect unless they actually start accepting it.
I do welcome this type of news though. It shows that professionals, and not just enthusiasts, are taking btc seriously. Yep these type of things are great news, it means that the cog is slowly moving towards something, already we have a few companies well actually more than a few a diverse handful of ones that accept it and this will only grow larger from here. That said it won't have any effect until they start accepting it but it is great news.
