Thanks apsvinet for any pickups on grammar or vocabulary. Your choice of the word "stuffed" seems indicative of your command of the English language. That would be the non-bastardised British version which is the real lingua franca of the world. And bastardise actually has an "s" in it rather than a "z" where the substitute of a "z" seems make the lowest common denominator in a populous feel OK about themselves...."yeah dude...I can say dat word"......

In any case, let's not be divisive. Ironically what our Trolls plan to be. The site was put up rather quickly, so excuse any mistakes.

This is a true endeavour and we have put real dollars into the backend which we are completing.

If the US min. wage is ~$7-$8/hr, I'd expect the average Troll to take home $10-$13/hr. Specialist Trolls $15/hr.
Commanders or Generals co-ordinating a 100 Troll forum raid or cross platform campaign including strategy and client comms. $20++

Some clients may wish to pay by an 'original' post. i.e 50c - $1

What topic(s) can you speak pro and con for ? i.e American Politics, Android vs iOS as obvious examples. Any screen grabs of your work?

The site is being securely hosted in a country with the most robust freedom of speech laws, and further Trolls are able to list their specialities, examples of their works and are rated by previous employers. A full escrow system and dispute resolution is being put in place as just some of the  features.

What charge out rate do you think is fair.

I thought it was just in my imagination.

I think the trollies part about the website is that the confirmation email you get
when signing up leads to an empty page.
Oh yeah and that the site itself is complete bogus.

We may pay Trolls in Bitcoin and it could be a safer option for you and us. i.e less traceable by governments.

Yes this discussion site is a crappy WP site, so please excuse. It was mainly put up to test the price points in the market.

You can remain skeptical or register and lets see if we can find you some work upon launch.

What I would like to know is what you think is a fair pricing regime. Would you charge by the post? How much? Prefer by the hour? How much and why would a client pay you that?
If you were a co-ordinator, maybe commander sounds more fun of an army of say 50 Trolls, had to devise the strategy and prepare a results report back to the client, what would you charge.

I am serious about this topic.

The site has Troll profile pages, client feedback/ratings, full escrow service to ensure you get paid, dispute resolution, chat rooms and is being hosted in Sweden who have the highest freedom of speech laws. Think where Julian Assange fled to.

There has been some bragging here about how nasty or effective you can be, but know one has put forward any screen grabs or copy of threads where they have caused some damage OR turned the discussion around etc.

How much could a regular troll earn?

If you have general Troll skills ( i.e manipulating the forum/ group discussion ) that would be mandatory and we would provide some training. From there you would need to have some domain knowledge to effectively win an argument.

The client would provide some of this, but say, if you knew all the latest info on a political issue and the republican stand point vs. democrat for example, that would be highly valued.

So if you are good, and get good ratings from clients, and we have enough demand, I imagine you could replace your income with Pro Trolling. Couple of hundred dollars a day seems doable???

Troll Training is free.

From the people in our network, we are developing tutorials and videos that bring together the art of not only trolling-discord but also effective argument skills.

Some clients may ask for specific skills. But if you to a troll raid commaninding 50 trolls, new learnings will come out of this to be filtered back to the community.

sincerely i like the website but i am skeptical about their payment structure.
You do not just start working without knowing your salary base.

I can think of websites that might need such kind of services. troll can really bring people/traffic to websites. If the services these trolls can provide will lead to great discussion, i think this will be great.

Well if this isn't a complete scam then I'd say it's good to see people thinking outside the box.  Not something I'd like to support but I'm sure some would take part in this.  I'm just not liking the idea of encouraging trolling on a forum that is plagued with so many.  Maybe the OP should make a more of an effort to hire anti trolls and do some real good.

To try and answer some of the previous posts:

-Clients will pay up front and we will have the money in escrow. Due to the skepticism here we may have to integrate with a known third party escrow service until we all get a track record.
-Trolling has negative connotations...agreed. We have another brand name for when we launch which means that clients can hire "voices" or people to sway opinions.. This CAN BE a positive thing/execution, if you believe in the cause.
-But then again....'Have you been WRONGED?? Are you a jilted lover? Spend $100 on Trolls for Hire for maximum effect. etc. :-)
-Re rates - This was half the point of the WP site and entering these forums. We need to know what you think is fair to be paid...How much by the post$$?
How much an hour?
How much to co-ordinate a group of say 50 trolls including a report back to the client. We will provide guidelines.

I don't think it's that type of troll they are looking for; or rather, not specifically the ones that go after children. :P

Still, the whole concept of derailing and steering discussions at the whim of the highest bidder is kind of shady - though I suppose one could say most advertising, as it is done today, isn't very far from the mark either (including paid sigs). ::)

How to win an argument on the forums

1) Call everyone who disagrees with you a troll.
2) Repeatedly call out opposing views for "trolling"
3) Report all the posts for spamming
4) When all else fails, say "I don't listen to trolls" and try to launch a personal attack on the person you are arguing with, then never answer again.
