Title: Re: List of Important Crypto Currencies - updated Post by: Lauda on August 24, 2014, 08:39:42 PM please add xmr and other anon coins. I see that Darkcoin is already there.OP I'd suggest that you add Monero (XMR) and not touch the other anon coins. Most of them were just used for scamming purposes. You can read about it in this exact forum. Well it's up to you to decide which one to add and which one to avoid. I'd suggest any coin that was used for scamming purposes to be left out. Title: Re: List of Important Crypto Currencies - updated Post by: Crypthal on August 25, 2014, 04:35:18 AM Out of curiosity, why don't you have RDD/Reddcoin listed (http://www.reddit.com/r/reddCoin/)?
Simon (Crypthal) Title: Re: List of Important Crypto Currencies - updated Post by: TheMage on August 25, 2014, 04:53:52 AM Quote TRUE CRYPTOCURRENCIES (Widely accepted, huge market cap) -BTC Bitcoin- First Succesful Crypto, The absolute number one. -LTC Litecoin- second launched Alt behind BTC , fast. Mined on GPU(Scrypt). -DRK Darkcoin- second to none, fast. Mined on GPU(X11). Just wanted to point out a few things :). While I am a well known Litecoin community member, I have to say it wasnt the first alt. It was the first most successful alt, behind from what I know of 3-4 others who tried. Also its now being mined on asics, not GPU. I also question why Darkcoin is in the "TRUE CRYPTOCURRENCIES" list. Its still only a few months old, and while they may be innovative they should be dropped too "BIG and IMPORTANT CRYPTO'S". I do not understand how it is widely accepted (if it is please enlighten me). Title: Re: List of Important Crypto Currencies - updated Post by: Testing Crypto on August 25, 2014, 05:25:22 AM Great start for a cryptocurrencies list, well done 8) There's quite a few threads like this with the same concept, but most of them haven't been updated in a while. Might be a good idea to find those threads & add some of the coins from there, but that's up to you. Hope to see this thread active & with over 1000+ coins, having even a small % helps newcomers to the altcoin world ;) Title: Re: List of Important Crypto Currencies - updated Post by: CryptoHeaven on August 25, 2014, 06:55:24 AM Are you planning to add Stellar to the list? They have gained good popularity very soon.

I believe this thread to be a thinly veiled DRK promo. Seem like lot of coin are missing but hope to see them on the list. Hope to see this thread be constantly updated. OP can u make date in title when you update it. Thanks. Maybe a mod should delete/lock this. It also launches bitUSD recently, probably the reason for the huge rally yesterday. XC https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=630547.0 SDC https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=745352.0 These two are far better then a certain coin you placed with BTC & LTC and claimed it to be second to none, that's a bit of a joke in my opinion, heavily instamined, forked numerous times, and failed on almost every REV release...yeah second to none a real diamond right there, XC will have web 3.0 and blockchain 2.0 tech soon as well as in wallet purchasing and in September SDC will have a lite wallet version for desktop, android, IOS that all support stealth transactions and IM, as well as staking,( they already have this but there just releasing a lite version) they will also implement a trust less version of ZK-snarks in september yet another first for crypto. http://shadow.cash/downloads/Shadow_roadmap.png Title: Re: List of Important Crypto Currencies - updated Post by: brekyrself on August 28, 2014, 01:17:23 AM BitSharesX without a doubt. 2.0 experiment that is attempting to use asset market pegs such as BitUSD. If this works, LOOK OUT.
