Title: Cannot compile any version of darkcoin cpuminer on Ubuntu, vps or amd!
Post by: alteredego on August 26, 2014, 05:19:50 AM
So  really am interested in Darkcoin, as it has some qualities that make me think it could do very well (like anonymity). But everytime I try to compile it, and I've tried on a VPS and on an AMD, and get this error at make:

make[2]: *** [minerd-hash.o] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/anon/darkcoin-cpuminer-1.3-avx-aes'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/anon/darkcoin-cpuminer-1.3-avx-aes'
make: *** [all] Error 2

I've tried the 1.2, 1.3 master and the stable versions of each, to no success. Does anyone have an answer for this?

I've included the entire compilation output here: http://darkerego.com/error.html

Oops my link is broken but my errors are exactly the same as the other guy's. I'll send 200 doge to the person who helps us figure this out!

Maybe it's a dependency problem? You could try installing the dependencies I have listed in this guide: https://darkcointalk.org/threads/noob-proof-how-to-install-cpuminer-under-ubuntu-linux.2168/ (https://darkcointalk.org/threads/noob-proof-how-to-install-cpuminer-under-ubuntu-linux.2168/)
