Title: Gawminers can't be serious
Post by: Death on August 26, 2014, 05:36:10 PM
So if you place an order at gawminers, it gets automatically marked as fraud. when you try to use the coupon they give you, it won't work. when you call them, nobody picks up. do gawminers exist physically or do they just have a website where everything is automated?

They have horrible customer service when it comes to availability.  Every time I have called them, I had to wait for a call back, in 1 instance it was over 24 hours.  You can try emailing them, I know Amber posts here in some of the threads about hashlets and GAW.

What automatically gets marked as fraud?
As far as I know, they have an awesome customer support, with loads of actual people. Open a ticket or check to see if there's someone on live chat (usually always).

Never had problems with them. Every time I wrote on the forum or pmed one of their employees I got an answer in less than 24 hours.
I'm running their sig campaign and the payments were on time every month.

Yeah I am not sure about the live support , I have tried multiple times , never got a return , left my mail , never got a return ...

Left my cart without buying .... constant emails about my cart feeling alone.

me the same, about 6 days no answer from support, the ticket was created 24.08.2014,
in 24 hours a answer that it is given to supervisor, and then 6day´s no reaction

(maybe the supervisor is on holiday ;-)

My answer came like 4 days later. But once the first response came the following letters were answered quickly. They are either understaffed or just slow

After 7 Days my Order is confirmed. They must have a lot of work

Me too!  I even went back on the website and emptied the cart and I am still getting these like once a day.  WTF?

Part of the problem they have is with Shopify payments. They use shopify payments as a merchant service, which does not allow any "virtual currency", my understanding is that they are running into issues with the payment processor and possibly the hosting services for their shopping cart.  I've had several orders in limbo for weeks, I got a response recently when I contacted Shopify for a refund (going around GAW):

Unfortunately, we will not be able to help out with payments, as the site is in violation of our Terms of Service, section B.5 ("Prohibited Businesses"). Specifically, we are unable to accept payments for Crypto Currency Services as described here: https://www.shopify.com/admin/shopify-payments/terms

These restrictions come from our banking partners, and so sadly we have no flexibility here. It's frustrating for us to have to turn away businesses, but in this case our hands are tied.

I have some hosted miners with GAW and recently was told one was being shipped to me, no tracking number though. I advise that they are high risk and you should trade carefully with them (if at all). I don't recommend you buy into their cloud mining services (you're not mining at all, you're only investing into their infrastructure for a small return over time), they've changed the payout program constantly, and the management software they use sucks.

edit: note the link above was not working, the correct link is here: http://www.shopify.com/legal/terms-payments-us

GAW Miners does not use Shopify Payments (aka Stripe). They do use a fraud prevention tool that most other Resellers use as well called "Riskified".
Riskified's team reviews every payment to look for fraud. It is their decision on which payments clear. Something a few of my customers have had problems with is using a VPN. When you use a VPN you IP can be from a country different then your billing address. Riskified will almost instantaneously decline the transaction. So, if you use a VPN I would highly recommend turning it off before purchasing. This will help prevent False Positives.
Also guys please do know that on a several occasions it has taken days to hear back from Riskified about some orders!
Thanks,
Jacob
