Indeed, in my opinion btc-e is very shady and I wouldn't want to deal with them. This isn't the first time I've seen issues with btc-e pop up regarding support.

The first problem on YOUR part is that you tried to withdraw coins, email confirmation was sent, then tried to change email without confirming the withdraw in your old email. If you think about it from another person's perspective, this looks pretty suspicious: a hacker could have hacked your btc-e account, initiated a withdraw, and it wouldn't go through until the hacker confirms by email. Since hacker can't confirm by email, he tries to change email address to his own.

I'm not saying everything they did afterwards was correct, but you did make the mistake of doing something suspicious. Should have just paid the $35 fee to your email provider in the first place.

Also you generally need to wait until you have the money out first before you go bad mouthing them on their own site.
Obviously what they have done is wrong, and it is not your fault... but yeah... Kind of need to wait until you have the money back before you start giving them trouble / saying stuff.
Could almost tell this woulda happened...

Hopefully it is just a temp suspension and you get back the BTC though :)

Too cheap to pay $35 to cashout $1,300. Fail?

So as anyone is aware, you cannot withdraw your funds from btc-e with out confirming the email they send.

Incorrect. You can withdraw without email confirmation via an API call provided you first setup a key with withdrawal permission.
