Our team is highly skilled, and has the background knowledge necessary to carry through with what we have planned.  Combined, our team has over 20 years of experience in the IT field.  All members of the team have been carefully selected to ensure we do nothing but impress, and then some. Latest developments

https://i.imgur.com/RPRYAoP.png Thanks to rentodev's hard work the past 48 hours, we now have new nodes online and an updated mac wallet available for download. It should not be forgotten that we have now gotten our blockchain moving again thanks to the courtesy of our team! As for the PoS before, it required 2 days to mature your coins, and the rewards were disabled! We have since reduced the coin maturity time from 2 days down to a mere 8 hours. Staking rewards have also once again been enabled (stake away!). The team is working on a road map that will be posted soon.

Here are some things we are bouncing around:

• Use VAULT for business services like fiverr.
• Use VAULT to pay for rental services like Airbnb or even rent out products to other people.

It should be noted that what is listed above is only comprehensive. You can be rest assured that as soon as a new development comes out that this will be updated promptly.  Also, please give the new twitter account a follow to stay up to date (@TheVaultCoin (http://www.twitter.com/TheVaultCoin)), and join our IRC channel (here (http://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.altcoinweb.com:6667/#VaultCoin)). How does closing and opening your wallet a few times fix a sync problem?

it connects to nodes and continues with requesting block information.
There are few past blocks in blockchain on which synch hangs on, all blocks after 3880 are fine...

Initial purses work in tandem with the new 1.2.0.0? Translation was sent 09/02/14. In the old purse writes that confirmed. But there are not loaded blocks on 8208 (in new purse with old wallet.dat (created on version 1.0.0.0) is also not downloads blocks on 8208 If you remove everything from% appdata% to a new purse loaded all of the blocks but the transaction has not been confirmed and means ago have not been returned. Takeover was successful and we managed to secure the network. This was the main task so this coin can exist.

I have been staking for weeks and have had ~60 earnings transactions, but 99% of them are worth 0.0000000?  I lost vault trying to stake because of transaction fees lol.

Pod by CryptoAsian doesn't mean much, look at some other coins that he gave great pod evaluation, but dev left with no trace. Also POD from CA is usually done fairly quickly, so I guess we should expect something today, hopefully.

Point taken tiredofscams, Although I see PoD as this, knowing something about the dev's is generally better than knowing nothing.  If we have clean code (which it does) and PoD (what we want), investors may stick around a bit longer to see what this coin has to offer providing we get regular updates that the dev is at least still alive. It's also one of the few cryptos with a very low coin count which is rare.

Is the blockchain for this coin still functional?

I withdrew from CEX to Trex as a test (and the coins have "withdrawn" according to my history from CEX) but after 24 hours they are no where to be seen.

The block explorer from page 1 of this thread seems to be non functional too, or at least not find my transaction or receiving address.

my wallet.dat is from arround March 2014 (2014/3). The old Vaultcoin.exe don´t work. The new one shows this Error Screen and crash after this!

We're on the 3rd iteration of Vault now.  To my knowledge, the old Vault (first and second iteration) doesn't have a working blockchain. The coins in your wallet.dat are not valid anymore.

People loose a lot of money on that crapy exchange. Personally I'm not worried about their delisting. They can do it if they want.

As sad as it sounds, I guess people who have VAULT on this exchange also have lost money :(

It may be worth contacting them again.  Whatever you think about the exchange you don't want people to lose their coins if it can be avoided as that will reflect badly on both VAULT and the team.  Keep trying to contact them - try tweeting them too (so it is public).  That way if people do lose coins nobody can level blame at the new VAULT team.

Bittrex: This market is in danger of de-listing due to low trade volume and lack of user interest. It may be removed on October 17th unless the average daily trade volume for the last 7 days exceeds 0.1 BTC.

Wow that's kind of short notice.  Normally there are a few weeks to get the volume up.

Original developers abandoned this project and it was taken over by community (or better to say, few people who liked the idea and were interested in continuing the development). Now, who is actually the rest of Vault's community?

Here are few questions one would suggest to ask themselves who think they are part of this community:

• For me, as a community member, what is this project?
• Is this another pump and dump project of mine?
• Is this a project I would like to contribute in any way I can?
• Will one day I be proud of my involvement in this project?
• What is it I will be proud about?

As a developer, ones interest in this project is for it to suceed as something innovative and useful.
Give space and opportunity for many great minds to work together and be proud of their achievements.

I believe that many people who are currently invsted in VAULT would love to participate in this project.
But first we should all know what is the dev team's goal, because no info at all was given about the ideas and motivations of the people on top of the project.

I don't think one can expect anything than taking profits when there is no roadmap or anything like that to the project.
When your vision is published, then every person can decide to himself if he wants to take part in it.

Personally, I got myself a nice stake in this coin at the moment I saw you took control, did my own research (team and coins specs), and got to the conclusion that it answer what I'm looking in a coin.

Well, let me start about the fact that I sent haxmb Pm a while ago about the suggestion to rethink 200% staking reward annualy as this will bring the number of coins over the total number of Litecoin for instance within 10 years and that would mean current hyped rarity of a coin is a complete farse. I have been waiting patiently for any reply from haxmb on a couple of matters, and we are talking about time span of more that two weeks and not a single word or acknowledge from him yet.

To be honest, I'm afraid you have been playing the old tactics of lowering the price, buying cheap and then dumping for a good profit. Buy and sell walls were indicative of that and now after the published roadmap, which could only be a piece of "paper" (time will tell) the road to higher values has been paved with no particular sell walls anymore. I decided to sell half of my holdings during the last pump which made me a nice profit and I will probably take a gamble with the rest of the vault, although haven't been persuaded yet.

Hopefully you will rethink the 200% reward annually, as this will only mean huge loss of value in the future.

Regards market behaviour, if it's being manipulated, then definitely not from developers side.
First of all, there was no any premine and secondly if even would of been there, this is community take over where so far people have donated to devs only just about 10 VAULT in total!

Such staking reward is much better, maybe lowering all of the numbers by a quarter, like 150%, 75% and 35% for all successive years could promise even more longterm value to it, if you want to retain scarcity.

Reg. market behaviour: It speaks for itself, somebody hoped to spark a huge interest, but the sentiment is not there. I didn't mean you sold that 10 vault, but what you supposedly acquired during the silent periods. You would be stupid, if you wouldn't try to take advantage of the situation, I don't judge you. Everybody is doing it and nothing is wrong in doing that, when one also keeps the promise of releasing the announced features.

Lately there are mainly promises, and only a few of the devs actually deliver. Still hoping you will prove me wrong.

Looking at the road map you set out I agree you should rethink 200% staking reward annually this will only lead to a huge loss of value in the future. Maybe set out a five year staking plain starting with 100% on year one and ending on 10% on year 5 and continuing with 10% for the life time of coin...

100% year one  3000 Vaultcoin
50% year two    4500 Vaultcoin
25% year three  5200 Vaultcoin
20% year four    6240 Vaultcoin
10% year five    6860  Vaultcoin

I done the figurers in my head so I know is not hundred percent correct, just rough guide line.....

This is a good plan!  Still keeps this coin count low and gives people incentive to buy and hold now. 

I see now problem with 200% for 1st year.total coins for first year is still only going to be 4500. which is still very low.i really think we need to do something soon though before we are no longer on an exchange

After thinking about this, the amount of Vault coins generated each year will be less than in the projected example from tony1970 because coins will be split between the exchange and wallets.  Correct me if I'm wrong but Bittrex doesn't keep coins that are staked but others may. . .  1500 additional coins the first year may actually be like 700-1000 imo.

You could also look into the vPOS staking that Vericoin and ARCH are doing.  Basically the more people that stake in their wallet, the more additional coins you generate in your wallet.  ARCH is setup for between 3 - 20%.  Vault being much fewer coins, you can kick this number up between 50-100% for the first 5 year, then settle on 10% after 5 years for the life of the coin. With all this said, I don't think this coin will ever get above 10,000 coins.  This still makes the coin count pretty limited. 

So what's up? Is this dead again?

Looking at the network and blockchain stats at the moment, there are maybe handful of people staking even reward at the moment is 50%
Most of the coins seems to be held on exchanges.

Even with 200% for first year, I don't think there will be full 3000 coins mined.

So, we are planning to implement following staking reward scheme:

first year - 200%
second year - 100%
following years - 50%
