I have my receive address from my old wallet. Is there anyway to send my balance to my new address?

Have you tried looking under the sofa cushions? Seriously though, how did you manage to lose it?

Unless you can find the wallet file, your money is gone. Receiving addresses are no good. Its a good idea to print out your wallet import keys and hide them well, so if you loose your wallet file, you can import your address into a new wallet. Title: Re: Help! Need to transfer... Without recovering the original wallet.dat (either from backup or from the original corrupt/damaged file) then your coins are lost. If you think for a second this obviously has to be the case. If just having a receiving address gave you control of the coins then anyone could steal anyone's coins instantly as public address (keyword PUBLIC) is available to anyone. |
