Don't freeze account, don't need documents, no chargebacks and anonymous.

I couldn't agree more with the low fee's in the top 10 reasons. PayPal I am sure if now just taking advantage of their fee's to be honest to make a little extra cash because there fee's are becoming extortionate. At least with bitcoin there are not too many huge fee's, you have your privacy and you do not get your account frozen for some silly reason why I have noticed PayPal doing a lot again.

Paypal is one of the biggest thiefs in the business. Every specification of Bitcoin is showing that it's better than Paypal.

Yes , finally these privileges are as equal to  LIBERTY . As you don't need any bank , istitution or other ... You are free  ;D .

It has much more freedom to move money around without being question from an authority which is your own, and no more ridiculous limits and freezes on anyones bitcoin account.  The only thing that paypal has is the chargeback feature and the time it takes to send money.

You go violate their outdated terms and rules they are for sure gonna so their cruelty to you,Banking elites have no mercy to costumers they are only here to make money.And that is why bitcoin is better than paypal

When you checkout you can not be sure that the amount shown to you is the amount that will be deducted from your balance. Only the verificationmail has the correct amount. WHO checks their mails in a situation like this? I (have to) now... when I have to use PP

I agree with most of the reasons.  Lower fees, especially internationally, are a big big plus in my mind.  I also like the decentralization.  I fully expect that if bitcoin looks like it will achieve mass adoption Paypal will quickly add it as an additional "currency" you can hold in your account.  I'm not sure if this is a long term good or bad thing...

Bitcoin replace paypal in the short future, with all the reasons.

It is debatable that the ability to chargeback a payment is actually a feature of paypal. Sure it does benefit buyers as they can recoup their money in the event of a scam. But this would also likely cause honest merchants to charge higher prices to account for fraudulent chargebacks, causing honest buyers to have to pay more, even when they know the seller is an honest seller.

Pretty much summed up everything. High fee, monopoly, and unncessary account freezing.. Anonmymity is a good reason to choose BTC.

paypal is a joke I sold a computer for around 1000 and they took 80 is fees + ebay charged me

Paypal is a company trying to squeeze as much money out of their customers as possible. Bit coin has no agenda or desire at all. A neutral payment system is by nature vastly superior. 

Thing is... people are very much willing to pay a premium in order to be covered in case of a scam! This really is something that needs to be implemented in Bitcoin in some way. We need some third party escrow service that makes it easy and safe to pay with Bitcoin for the regular customer!!!

Just as there are reasons why Bitcoin is better than PayPal for certain things, there are other aspects which favour PayPal.

I think that as with many other money transmitting means, Bitcoin is not necessarily the replacement, but rather a step to providing a decent alternative for those who with to use its properties.

Paypal is scam. Paypal currently freezing worth of $200 million from thousands of people worldwide.

This, bitcoin is just far superior by design. Paypal is service created to EARN money for their owners. And we do not have to pay anything for using bitcoin.

There should be 100 reasons, not 10.

In my country Paypal was not available until recently. When it did become available it was through only one of the big four banks meaning that you 'had' to have an account with them which could then be linked to Paypal. Now all banks can link to PayPal but you have to jump through several hoops and its a right royal pain in the backside.

Bitcoin offers true freedom in that there is no discrimination, its available to and accessible by all. That alone, imo, make it stand heads and shoulders above any other.

Never liked Paypal. They limit for no reason.

bitcoin is still semi-anon, not fully anon yet, bitcoin is better than paypal because, is personal(you are your bank)

What law are you referring to? It would be impossible to force people to buy insurance like this because if the government did this then consumers would be vulnerable to the insurance companies failing.

There is really only one reason why BTC is better than Painpal: You own the Bitcoins but Painpal owns you. Who wants to be owned?

Painpal is more useless than a bank, banks can at least give out loans. Painpal just forwards existing money, so they don't do anything that Bitcoin cannot.

Now, what if you are in a third world country with your family having some vacay. You need money. Ow! They dont accept BTC? What should you do? Well I got a paypal account. Withdraw money from paypal and then poof! You are drinking beer again.

But Paypal can be used in many more places. Stores should keep adding Bitcoin to their accepted payment methods.

Bitcoin is more the underlying money and also has the inherent capabilities of transmitting large amounts of money instantly. PayPal effectively is a service provider that does the escrow. Bitcoin may need some of those service providers as in order to get the broad public on their side!

No official statement of both parties but there was an article that paypal will be accepting bitcoin soon.

I've never had problems using paypal. To compare it to bitcoin doesn't make sense. Ofcourse I prefer to use crypto's when possible.

No chargebacks is the best thing to protect merchants, but it is a double edged sword, because if you are the buyer, you are not protected if you don't receive what you purchased, or if you receive something completely different from what you thought you were buying.

I am still a newbie, so PayPal looks safe, but I have not had any need to use their consumer protection, so I do not know how well it works.

I like this bitcoin thing, because all transactions can be tracked.

I've never had problems with my personal PayPal account, but I also manage a PayPal account for a 501(c)3 charity and have had numerous problems with them. The biggest problem we usually have is that after a fund raising campaign we'd receive a large amount of donations and PayPal would freeze the account due to suspicious activity. They would unfreeze it fairly quickly after our lawyers got in touch with them, but come on, are they fucking retards? This type of cash flow is typical of charities.

If the benefactors of the charity were not so technically challenged (it was so hard to get them over to PayPal from paper checks), I would have already set up a donation option through the likes of BitPay.

All the points of this article is valid. I also think that Bitcoin is far better than PayPal. I am sure that one day Bitcoin will take the place of PayPal.

And for those reasons, Paypal is afraid of Bitcoin integration, their policy towards virtual goods is just an excuse to bully users that use Paypal to purchase Bitcoins.

There are lots of advantage if one  uses bitcoin. That is why paypal reached out to them and embrace them.

Maybe the correct question is Why is Breadwallet better than paypal.

Because:

Paypal is where your money goes. Money means $
Breadwallet is where your BTC goes.

So Paypa = Breadwallet, Dollar = BTC

That's one of the reason why I'm not using bitcoin , among other that I've stated before (lack of chargeback a.k.a buyer protection e.g).

Paypal for all the bad talk here has done a huge amount to boost internet sales.  Before Paypal, do you remember what it was like?  If I wanted to buy a book from a small bookstore online, how could I know it wasn't a scam?  If I wanted to buy something from an online auction, how could I know they seller wouldn't rip me off after I sent my money.  Paypal is a main reason why there is internet commerce today.

Yes, there fees are so high and it sucks for sellers.  But without it, the buyers wouldn't be buying. 

And this is the problem with bitcoin.  When I send crypto across the net to somebody, I am always nervous.  It is pseudo anonymous, there is no way for me to get my money back, and if they run, I am completely screwed.  From a buyers perspective, it is so much riskier using bitcoin.   Scammers and cons love to be paid in bitcoin.  Real businesses hate using Paypal, but know it draws business. 

Bitcoin and Paypal guys arent planning on going against each other. They are planning in what they can get with each other. :)

Paypal is centralized. Every drawback comes from this premise. On the contrary, decentralized structures like Bitcoin don't possess a magic ability to absorb money into themselves.

Cash is still king, except for the online transaction part.
Online BTC is king.

except with paypal, you just have a promise for USD, and one that frequently gets broken, accounts seized, etc... with breadwallet you actually have real bitcoin right on your phone and also backed up on paper, not just a promise from some 3rd party service

Number one you don't have to deal with different currencies. It is almost anonymous. No need to fill up name and address. And most important.....chargebacks!

in my idea ,the best  is that ,Bitcoin let trading becomes simple, free,let people avoid bank exploitation.
