Hi, I used to do bitcoins, I had a wallet, 80btc, and then traded it all away one fateful day. It was about 5 months ago, and I was wondering, what did I miss :D? What is the latest buzz now in the bitcoin world. What happened to tradehill, where is that myBitcoin source they promised. Any more mtGox haxoring? Inform me, get me up to speed.

Nothing new with Mybitcoin or sources.
No MtGox hacks lately but they have been freezing allegedly stolen coins from a major Linode hack.
BIP 16 for multisignature transactions attained consensus and is starting to be implemented.

Can you point me in the direction of what you know about the linode hack? What is linode?

Linode is a hosting company. A bunch of bitcoin websites that were hosted on linode were hacked and wallet files stolen.

Really not a lot have changed, aside from the fact that (as youve probably noticed) the prices have changed a lot (Im not sure when exactly you quit Bitcoins), and it has gotten more general awareness.

The price I see is at $5, around where it was when I left (I started when it was at the all time high, and bought my first coins at $16, immediately after mtgox haxorin).
