It is basically instant. As for the payment, I honestly would prefer not to have to bring in a escrow service into the mix. If you wish to maintain your hash power at ltcgear after 1 year, you will be asked to pay a fee based on 5-20% the original cost of the shares at that time. The shares I am sell are between 1-2 weeks old, So there is a good amount of time before anything additionally needs to be done.
