The main thing i was wondering though is if the cgminer program on the raspberry pi would recognize more than ten miners at a time.

Usually the maximum number of devices is 127, though there are various operating system workarounds that allow you to go past this.

Eyeboot have a special offer on the 49 port hub at the moment that ends in September so i suggest you buy now.
