MPEx (http://polimedia.us/bitcoin/mpex.php) needs three drawings to further cuteify itself beyond the pale. Looking for: II. A drawing of a unicorn. III. A drawing of a mermaid. All these must be precisely 155px by 68px, line art. No colors please, stick to black & gray. The image should be mostly white. There are two placeholders there at the moment so you get a general idea. Two very important stipulations: -ORIGINAL ARTWORK ONLY. Draw them yourself, this is one of those endeavours in which googling doesn't pay. -MAKE IT CUTE. Really. A nude mermaid is a-ok, an uncute anything is no good. Anyone can participate, with as many drawings as they want. Once we see something we like that person gets paid and this post will be updated. Ponyta WAS the model for my son. The tattered card is still sitting here on my desk. Referencing another piece of art on its own is not wrong. It's also okay to look at a body of works by a particular artist with the intent of mimicking their style for a particular piece. If you could zoom in, you would see it is a freehand imitation that's not that accurate. The imperfections make it look really cute though. The OP will have to decide if she thinks its too close. Initially I thought adding a few vignettes might be a nice way to showcase community talent and funnel some coins from the rich fat cat to the starving artist, but alas there wasn't much in the way of talent to showcase.
