Nobody has personally met satoshi or if they have they have not told anyone. Although it is likely that Theymos and satoshi have directly communicated I don't know if each other know what the other looks like.

I think the closer person to satoshi was Hal Finney

How do you know theymos isn't satoshi? Notice how both of their usernames are in lowercase and feature an 'o' and an 's'. Coincidence? I think not.

Satoshi isn't dumb enough to meet with anyone to compromise their security. So no.

Maybe he left a time capsule of some sort that will be opened in 10 years to reveal Satoshi's identity. If I was in his place I'd surely think about it.

I think roger or mark are more likely to be sastoshi. I dont think satoshi was an asian. I am pretty much sure that satoshi would be an American and theymos has met him.

Yeah the fat mark karpeles. He is not as stupid as he looks. There were some evidences that told that mark had registered the domain bitcoin.com years before when bitcoin was launched.

probably a .0001% chance that theymos met satoshi. and if he did, he wouldn't tell anyone here - don't you think he'd be hounded by all the snoopy people on this forum? satoshi, unlike ulbricht, was pretty damn smart; not only did he create bitcoin, but he covered his tracks pretty well.

Really? Mark Karpeles being Satoshi? The guy that barely could keep an exchange running for some years the same guy that invented the Bitcoin concept? That would be like discovering that Batman and The Joker are the same guy. 

What are the Karpeles realizations in the crypto field, to see if it would makes some sense.

The only way Karpeles could be Satoshi is if he ate him.

No, I haven't. I doubt that anyone in the Bitcoin ecosystem has knowingly met him in person. My impression has always been that he's a shy individual who created Bitcoin mainly because he found the project very interesting, not to become rich or famous. While he understood the need for a solid community, I doubt that he had (or has) much interest in participating in the Bitcoin community except to discuss the Bitcoin technology. And while he probably still cares about Bitcoin, I very much doubt that he has any desire to exert unusual control over Bitcoin's future, either secretly or publicly.

(In fact, there are very few Bitcoiners who have met me personally. None of the moderators or core devs have. So a meeting between Satoshi and myself would be especially unlikely.)
