Also, there's nothing new about the algo, it's plain and simple nist5.

How does the GoalCoin to XG transition system works?

This method will be available only during the first XG mining period between blocks 0 to 10,000 and will be a 1:1 exchange. In this period XG network is going to generate 10,000 empty blocks to allow the current GoalCoin holders to take advantage of this new currency, being early adopters of this new currency by exchanging their coins through the transition system. When the XG network reaches the block number 10,000, the system will stop exchanging GoalCoins to XG. It will take 1 week to the XG network to reach block #10,000 , so it's enough time to make a fair transition.

Should we create conf? Because yesterday I had no problems with syncing and exchanging goalcoins (orders 163 and 164), but now my wallet is not syncing. Also, I use it on Windows 8 64bit and the wallet looks HUGE... it takes my entire screen. ;)

Hi , the main idea is that everyone has the opportunity to change their Goalcoin for XG.

What will happen with the XG don't exchanged during the transition period?
The remaining coins are going to be held staking in a public address, ensuring the network security. The funds are going to be moved only to finance important projects through XGkick, that will be previously added and selected by the community though a poll system, ensuring completely transparency over them.

I sent 760 coins last nights to be exchange still haven't received the XG into my wallet whats the usual wait time on receiving.

hello, this is because the GOALCOIN network is slow right now, all orders will be processed be patient ,  nothing wrong with the XG network.

I don't get what is going on here. I don't see anything on the GOALCOIN website about XG. Why not? I never heard of XG. I don't know who you are. Why should I just give my goalcoins to somebody that I know nothing about?

Last I checked there were 290,000 GOALcoins mined. It shows that about 30,000 have been "exchanged".
Is bittrex going to delist this coin????

I saw XG was listed on Bittrex briefly a few hours ago. 29+ coins were traded.Simultaneously GOALCOIN volume spiked with almost 3BTC volume.It looked like a dump, and it traded down to 3000.NOW, all those trades are gone, and chart shows that it never went that low(wish I knew how to save a screenshot!).

Something is clearly going on with these two coins, but I don't know what I just witnessed means!!

EDIT: WHY such a short period to trade coins 1:1?? When will Bittrex officially launch/list XG?

What happens to the people who don't know about the exchange, and still hold GOALCOIN after the wallet

You do NOT seem to concerned that our coin is not yet listed on BITTREX. Do you know what this long delay to get listed is all about? You do realize that the longer you wait, the BIGGER will be the DUMP from those miners now mining the coin, don't you??? You are NOT doing anybody any good by delaying for so long. better sell now before the market is delisted , it is technically impossible to reopen it now since it would stop the whole pos and the whole coin would need to switch algo.

What the hell were you thinking not exchanging your coins anyways , you had much time and it was clear from the beginning that goal would be worthless afterwards , sell your goal now since in the near future you will get nothing for them.

This project is a deliberate scam. There will be no development. Beware of any coin "transition" such as this. Legitimate developers to not abandon blockchains, such as was the case with Goalcoin. Honest developers fork blockchains so that early investors are not abandoned.

You will loose 100% of your investment in this coin if you hold long-term.

are you sure about this? it's not our fault you've been stolen in other developments, we are the same team behind goalcoin, we did a fair exchange and include new technologies.

I respect the words of the team and I believe that you are honest (at least for now), but the truth is that everything is pointing to the XG's death... just like GOAL. Back in the days I mined it for about 10 days with 420 MH, which costs me about 4-5,000$ missed profit (for example.. if I was mining DOGE, LTC etc. instead). People must understand that not anybody can launch a coin... no matter how smart he is.

I'm not FUDing. I used to be an XG supporter til now. I talked to the old XG owner, he talked to the current devs, and they just said they got hacked 2 days ago.
I'm waiting for more news as I try to contact the Bittrex staff and the current devs as well.

The old XG owner contacted them via telegram, and they said all their accounts were compromised, so I wouldn't trust IRC as well. But no, haven't tried that yet. I tried the XG slack group and got nothing so far.

The weird part is, I don't understand why they haven't contacted trex with some other new account if they got hacked or at least posted here so far.
I'm still trying to get to the bottom of this. Will keep you guys posted.

what error are you getting? if you use the console then wallet starts crashing, try restarting the system if that is the problem you are having.

I think it would be fun to help take this over but need dev help. however we need a better means of communication that forum.

I can provide XG bounties and would help share costs to run nodes etc.

Restarting didn't help. However I'll try on another computer. Maybe this has a bad blockchain.

How to use this? Is it just me or does wallet crash from console?

Yes with current version of wallet, it crashes as soon as you execute a command in console. I have to restart the PC to get the wallet working.

I would love for coin to come back but i dont have much BTC or XG.
