Title: What's your favorite mining pool?
Post by: airpline1 on September 05, 2014, 11:16:09 PM
I'm looking for new pools to mine on now, currently I have picked 3, Ghash, BTCGuild, and F2pool.
Let's start with why I chose them!

GHash:
1. Fast block finding rate, due to the high Hashrate, 48Ph/s.
2. Payouts are much faster than any other mining pool!
3. Payouts are pretty low, but fast.

BTCGuild:
1. Payouts are higher, block finding time is slow, about 1-5 Hours.
2. You can withdraw early if you want, min is 0.0001 I think.
3. You can easily achieve BTC0.01 in a couple of days with an Antminer S1.

F2Pool:
1. Block Finding rate is fast.
2. Payouts are high, but not as high as BTCGuild.
3. Withdrawing can be as low as BTC0.002

So, Whats Your favorite mining pool? and WHY?

P.S: Yes, I know the reasons suck, but catch me a break, it's 4 AM here and I'm tired. fix it in some reply or whatever.

Ghash.io

You can choose Btc or Ltc, it works well since it started.

But you steal need to have a Scrypt miner, I have a SHA-256, no scrypts, (Except for my gpu  ;D)

I've been mining with Bitcoin Affiliate Network for a while now. I've used BTC Guild, gHash.io, slush's pool, Discus Fish and a couple more. BTC Aff Network pays out every two hours (you can set the payout threshold yourself with 2 hours being the lowest), and there are no fees. The dashboard is great and you can monitor all workers easily. The ONLY thing I don't like about it is the fact that you cannot set your own workers' difficulty, but with BTC Aff Net doing it automatically for you based on your individual workers' performance, it's kind of nice really. If I had to choose a close second, it would be gHash - mainly because the dashboard is great and you can set your own diff.

Of course, do your own research and make up your own mind, but with my miners, location and network, BTCAN has been the best for me.

First off, this should technically be under the 'Pools' subforum...I'd imagine you'd get a much larger (and more varied) response there.

Second, where's the "Other" option? Personally, I've been a fan of BitMinter, simply because that's where I started mining back in 2011. If I remember correctly, they were one of the first pools to offer a GUI mining utility to automatically find your GPU and connect to your account. Being a noob, it was pretty nice not to work in the command line all day  ;D

ZenPool should be added to the list. Why? Offers high profits and no pool fees.
