Title: How to deactive my Bitcointalk account?
Post by: AnonyMint on September 06, 2014, 02:50:46 AM
I have sent a private message to theymos asking him to deactive forum account, making it impossible for me to login to it and placing some sort of public message on it indicating that this is the case so that no one will expect that I will be able to reply to posts and private messages.

So far, he has not replied.

It is ridiculous that that there is not a standard feature to opt out of this forum.

I am sending theymos another private message now, asking him to deactive my account without further confirmation from me. I hope the next time I attempt to login to my account, that I am refused access.

Thank you.

Ty. I feel I will be of greater service when I am not talking. I've said enough. I am just repeating myself now.

I kindly ask the forum owners to respect the discipline I wish to place on myself.

WTF is wrong with you AnonyMint
You shouldn't quit talking, better talk and code at the same time.
You had some ideas about making bitcoin more decentralized, why don't you keep your account and come in the altcoin observer and show us what you got later.

I expected a better opus from you AM.  Theymos owes you nothing, don't act like validating your Goodbye Cruel World melodrama is something he is obligated to do.

Just scramble your password if you can't handle the pushback which naturally ensues when you spout paranoid nutjob Infowars rants and defeatist moaning about Bitcoin.

Change your account profile to have a fake email address.

Then just create a jumble of 20+ random letters in notepad.  Copy and paste that as your new password.    Close notepad without saving.  Logoff bitcointalk..

Your forum account is, for all intents and purposes, deactivated.  :)

Theymos once site he ignores delete account requests because it is too much work(need to verify messages and PMs for scam and stuff).

If you don't want your account, just don't login or give it to someone else.

5000 posts is a lot of man hours. I have written only about 1200 and been logged in 26 days, 23 hours and 27 minutes since 2010. Wow.

In your position I would follow the advice given to effectively deactivate your own account by faking the email and randomly changing the password.

Regards and best wishes on your projects!

hey man, just take a break from this forum for a while, get your hands on some super fine breasts, and sample pleasures from the real world for a change. I'm not as smart as you, but I'm probably happier, coz I live outside of internet world too. After some female (or male, if that's what takes your fancy), you'll be a new man! You need to live bro!

Damn it anonymint, the boards won't be the same without you man.  I for one would like to petition that you hang around because some of us are reading your posts and find them informative.

Sr accounts can go for a few btc in the marketplace.  No idea why it's allowed

might I suggest not deactivating your account. Make an "AnonyMints musings" thread that you lock for other posters and you won't get drawn into repetitive discussions. If you have interesting new thoughts just post them there one and leave it at that.

Maybe this didn't work out for him:

I am going to destroy BitCON (there is no light, it is fatally doomed as it lacks distribution) and you will buy from me.

:D

This is about genuine and definitely a grab for attention as a 14 year old girl swallowing a bottle of aspiring and posting "goodbye cruel world" Twitter messages.

BTW, your last active status clearly indicates you're still with us.

:D  #i wish i knew how to quit you

(Yes of course we know AM is loving the attention he's getting here.)   ::)

Too much animosity?  Can't handle negative attention?  Want everyone to agree with you?
Keep your mouth shut and turn off the internet.

I think your presents has great value for the community of this forum and also for the evolution of (future) altcoins. I dont know your work besides posting here, but I think to opt out for good isnt the best.

Just comeback once in a while to reflect your new developed thoughts or/and help other developers reflecting their thoughts.

Good Luck
