Title: Why our NEM is NOT participating in the random SUPERNET hype bubble SCAM ***
Post by: From Above on September 06, 2014, 01:24:51 PM
NEM is attempting to be something for the long-term, and we are not focused on short-term pump and dumps. (if NEM were to submit to the hype train that's probably what it would end up being, if not simply becoming a failure outright.)

Why would the devs waste nearly a year of hard work to create this amazing new cryptocurrency simply to rush it at the very last moment to be included in the next random cryptocurrency hype bubble? It doesn't make sense, and anyway if the SuperNet is still around in a few months NEM will very likely be included in it at that time.

kudos to nem for this smart move
them dont support the random pump and dump scam hype bubble !

Before anyone takes my quote out of context (it was me who originally wrote OP's quote), I am not saying that the SuperNET is some kind of scam or pump and dump scheme. SuperNET could be something great for crypto, but that remains to be seen.

I simply wanted to explain that NEM could not be included because it is not finished yet, and James who is doing all this SuperNET stuff wanted NEM to be included but it could not due to time constraints. In the future, NEM may become a part of the SuperNET, but first NEM has to be finished. Our community is dedicated to creating a solid, stable, and user-friendly cryptocurrency from the ground up and therefore the NEM devs have stated time and time again that they will not rush anything to sacrifice that.

Please note that I am not an official spokesperson for NEM, simply a stakeholder who is passionate about cryptocurrencies. This is solely my opinion.
