Or better yet, don't waste you're time watching this garbage. It's an advertisement and sales pitch posing as an informational video.

The future isn't going to involve gold any more than it will involve horse and buggy or steam ships.

Of course it's a pitch. Do you think analysts are going to investigate what is going on in the world of finance, and then present it to you out of the kindness of their hearts? They need to eat, just like everyone else. So, they are giving you good info, in the hopes that you will invest with them. Don't invest if you don't want.

The point is, how will Bitcoin fare in the collapse? Or don't you think that there is any collapse coming?

I think Bitcoin is going to rob gold of approximately 80-90% of it's value within 5 years. I think Bitcoin will act as the safety net for every nation state fiat-scrip implosion over the course of the next 50 years, or until fiat scrip no longer exists, whichever comes first.

I also don't think anyone can accurately predict when any given nation's fiat scrip will implode. But we know they all eventually will. No empire lasts forever.

I used to buy silver, a little at a time, every month. I haven't been doing that with Bitcoin. But I should start.

I can foresee how there might be a fast collapse. If it is fast, I'm not sure that I can see Bitcoin going that big. Bitcoin needs to become well known BEFORE the collapse, or people will go back to gold, silver and barter first. If this happens, then Bitcoin might take some time to go big.

On the other hand, if the collapse is somewhat slow, the people will have time to investigate their options. As they investigate, they will see that Bitcoin is probably the best option.

I think that when the collapse comes, it will be fast. I sure hope Bitcoin will be well known by then.

This video brings up some good points about FIAT money. I remember prediction saying that the dollar could collapse in 2014 and to be honest the government shutdown was really scary. But to be honest, I don't think that the collapse of the US dollar would result into a worldwide economic crisis. Most likely it would result to America having to rebuilt it's economy and maybe factories coming back to the states due to cheap workers.

I'm pretty sure that if the dollar collapses we'll see a new economic crisis all around the world. The american economy is waaaay to important for, like, all countries in the world (except for North Korea and Cuba).

I might agree with you here.

The idea of gold or silver soaring in price means that the value of the dollar has dropped. I think that the people who control the dollar are doing so with a firm hand. They are manipulating everything... not only the dollar, but the value relationship between dollar and gold.

Probably the only thing that could take the dollar down would be a total disruption of electricity on earth, although the Internet going down might do it as well. If this happened, Bitcoin wouldn't be worth anything either. Gold and silver are not traded enough for people to start using it immediately. However, people are resourceful, and they might start pounding out more gold and silver coin faster than I think.

The point... to restate. If the dollar doesn't collapse, gold will be manipulated in value. If the dollar collapses, the people aren't familiar enough with using gold so that it will come into much use again for some time.

My idea of the best investment is land with water. The second is lots of cash dollars tucked away under the mattress, even if inflation takes the value out of them. Cash dollars will be useable short term if there is a collapse, and you can always spend them if there isn't.

Gold and silver, and Bitcoin, are temporary investment vehicles only.
