A few things come to mind though:

1) Wasn't there a witness that said Mike Brown charged at the officer 1st? (I know even that doesn't give the officer the right to fatally shoot him or does it?)

2) Has their been cases where caucasian unarmed potential suspect has been fatally gunned down by police?

3) it just seems like this whole thing isn't going to end too well...

Happens all the time...this happened the same week brown was killed.

The cop can legally shoot and kill you if you threaten his life.

Cop are cops. Its yes sir, no sir from me. They can actually arrest you for non-violent resisting(not agreeing with them) or for not doing exactly what they say(even if the cop is acting illegally and breaking the law himself).

This isn't a free country like some people think. Two months ago the FBI sent memos to police departments instructing them to consider people who quickly quote their rights and strongly defend the Constitution of the United States as "Domestic Terrorists". Google it.

Our local police posted this list of 28 things you are to do if stopped by police that may help reduce your chances of getting wrongfully arrested, injured or killed by a cop with an attitude.
