Are you related to the updown of recent signature ad campaign infamy?  Or is your name just an unfortunate coincidence?  If the latter, I'd read up on what happened with up/down and then reconsider the name.  If the former, I'll be very surprised if anyone signs up.

Escrow?

Good call, considering the experience we had in the past.

Also rates are lower than other signatures(example: LuckyBit offers 50mBTC)

Escrow?
as is posted above i will show funds in my wallet before accepting any applicants. im not trying to come in and advertise for someone and screw the community.

as far as other sig campaigns paying more i was quoted a 1btc br for 1st month so i wanted to get a couple extra people involved.

i realize you people are trying to look out for the community and thats fine, but lets not derail this thread. i will provide proof of funds or i will close the campaign. no need to freak out. im not trying to do anything but run a fair and honest campaign

If you allow a trusted member of this forum hold enough bitcoin to pay all the participants then the participants will know they will get paid and will be more willing to join. If you decline to do this then people will likely avoid joining because they do not want to give away free advertising.

Simply showing proof of funds is not enough as it is not a guarantee that the payments will actually be made.

To be fair it becomes quite irresponsible if people join this campaign since you ARE UpDown (I saw you post with your old account) and the way the last one finished means to me that you really need to at least use an escrow, or it encourages other companies to scam.

I am not saying that you will not pay out, and I'm certain you can prove you have the funds, but if people join this campaign it sets the tendency for other companies to come here and scam people in this manner, and that can only be a bad thing.

Escrow should be a minimum, advance payouts would also be acceptable.

You must use escrow and people will join in a flash, otherwise just proof of funds isnt proof of payment.

How will anybody know that? there has been enough scammers on this board who have run away at the end of the campaign.

A more accurate statement would have been to say: you are new and unknown to the people of these forums. You should use escrow before people start to provide you with valuable services.

I'm saying updownbot.biz is run by UpDown 100%, and you wrote "Official" in the heading.

I haven't thrown any accusations at all though, in fact people are allowed to provide any service they want here, however, I actually will be more annoyed at people for joining this campaign since it sets a bad precedent for future scammers to exploit.

My only actual assumption was that you have funds, which is not guaranteed, so in that sense stating you have the funds able to pay out was my only accusation.

I await your apology, thanks.

you are correct. i am fairly new. i had no clue about the previous updown deal til someone said something here. im just trying to make a few dollars providing a service and gain some trust for opportunities down the road.

i would appreciate the witch hunt stopping for now. ill speak to the site owner and have him escrow or proceed how he wants, but im just doing this to make a dollar.

i am not the owner of any websites. this guy may not even be whom you are talking about. i have no clue on that. i will speak with him later and have him read n reply here though.

Listen. I'll put this simply.

IF you have necessary funds for 1 month put them in escrow. You have NOTHING to lose. If you don't put any funds in escrow you will NOT get any participants, full stop.

No one cares if you can 'prove you have funds' unless you put those funds in escrow.

Half of you guys don't even know wtf are you talking about it's updownbot.bz (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=768155.0) not UpDown.BT (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=578682.0). They both are not run by the same guy it's totally different.
This guys is trying to run a campaign for updownbot.bz not Updown.bt.
This was the Signature Campaign thread for updown.bt (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=600446.0), i don't know or care about how that campaign ended, this guy is trying to do provide a good service here and you start accusing him without knowing which website you are talking about.

Quite irrelevant, the LuckyBit campaign has been full for the
last couple of months, and no slot is gonna open up in the near future.
These prices are very reasonable, given that there are no other options
for most members.

you are right but if you neglect such as low rate campaign & wait some time we will find some good campaign & if you allow or join this low payment campaign the new campaign owner will want to give us  low rate. so i recommend people wait some times & join some highly payment campaign.

It's hardly a witchunt. People should quite rightly be skeptical of anyone and everyone on these forums and escrow should be used for all new deals. The burden of proof is on you I'm afraid, but don't take people's skepticism personally.

My question to you is:

Why does a new website have such a similar name to updown.bt and yet you say you are completely apart from them?

Title: Re: Official updownbot.bz Signature Campaign thread

Are you related to the updown of recent signature ad campaign infamy?  Or is your name just an unfortunate coincidence?  If the latter, I'd read up on what happened with up/down and then reconsider the name.  If the former, I'll be very surprised if anyone signs up.

My question to you is:

Why does a new website have such a similar name to updown.bt and yet you say you are completely apart from them?

OP is sidelining this question time and again. It seems he is UpDown's sock-puppet. His new site's name and games are very similar to UpDown.bt. Unable to get away from the -ves UpDown has come up with a new avatar.

Its what first came to mind too.. Hmm, seems like OP isn't getting off to a good start, he would've been better off starting a completely new binary options with bitcoin website.

I will put whatever reputation I have around here to say that I personally saw UpDown.BT post in a thread promoting Updownbot.biz

I thought at the time it was a mistake by the owner of the site and I cannot find it since. Will have a look around.

Edit: And I'm not claiming this is a scam etc. Just posting what I saw. Seems it has been deleted.

Yo, asking -neq accusing.  K?

Asking -neg for what? Do you even read i'm not accusing anybody.

Ahem, "-neq" is shorthand for "is not equivalent".  Let me spell out my message in more formal language:

"Attention: asking about origin is not equivalent to accusing of a particular origin."

Since you seem so lost, allow me to spell out the immediate context which seems to have passed you: in the 4th post of this thread, I ask:

Are you related to the updown of recent signature ad campaign infamy?  Or is your name just an unfortunate coincidence?  If the latter, I'd read up on what happened with up/down and then reconsider the name.  If the former, I'll be very surprised if anyone signs up.

And below was your reply with cute epithets and qualifiers for the masses: "half of you don't know what we're talking about...they are different...you start accusing him without knowing which website you are talking about".

Therefore, my reply is germane, even if it was apparently too subtle for you to grasp.  Now, you've got other mudslinging to do about whether or not I can read?  Try not to be such a troll, dood, it's not the way to make friends, ok?

Finally, I want to point out that in your glorious moment decrying the ignorant bitcointalk.org citizens for their unsupported accusations, you, yourself, the amazing __chance__ have (perhaps unwittingly) fallen dangerously close to the same behavior you disdain in others: making claims without evidence.  That is, you say the two parties are distinct but it seems the only support you have for that is the distinct urls.  Yet, we all realize that the urls are distinct.  The question was whether the proprietors are distinct.  As far as I can tell, you have added nothing to that debate beyond "__chance__ believes they are distinct".  If you have anything more to offer, let us know.  If you just want to add your opinion to the thread, there are ways do to that without acting like such a jackass, should that interest you in the future.

Cheers!

It would not matter if money is in escrow.

I am going to be a member soon but the rate sounds quite low.

In that case do you know why UpDown.BT posted in your thread as if the OP. I regret not screenshotting now but I can guarantee he did and subsequently deleted his post.

I would like that to be clarified thanks.

Dear sir

I guess the only way to prove that we are not assosiated with updwn is to pay everybody on time with no problems

Like Cryptcominer, try to pay all user every day, is a simple work, because there are only 19 member in this campaign :)

ok sorry to inform everyone i will be closing this campaign as of today. im going to check everyones activity and post count and prorate you for a 2 week payment and allow you all to join another sig-campaign. anyone with 8 posts since joining campaign will recieve 2 week prorate payment. i will contact monbux and have payments sent.

reasons for this action:

no contact with owner of website since saturday on multiple communication platforms(here, bitmessenger, skype)
owner has had no activity for 4 days here
bets are being sent to the website not confirming(meaning people are betting, and losing btc)

i apologize to all involved in the campaign. i know there is a couple other good campaigns out there to join. i dont wanna risk my rep on here to advertise if the owner is mia. dont want anything coming back on me

if anyone has questions feel free to pm me. again i apologize

You are doing the right thing, I would trust you in the future, good luck.

im not even sure if this is the proper way to handle this situation. i just feel like people have advertised for a week and should be paid for that. funds were escrowed and since the campaign is ending early i feel extra compensation is fair.

I would argue that the campaign participants should be paid a prorated amount based on the total amount in escrow, with Senior/hero members getting two shares each and member/full members getting one share each (senior/hero were to get paid 2x as much as members/full members). This would result in members and full members getting .04545454 and senior and hero members getting .09090909. This would result in the entire amount of money held in escrow be paid out.

i cannot agree with that conclusion. with the campaign being ended early(after 1 week) i think im being more than fair. you guys are receiving half payments for 1/4th of the agreed upon. im ending the campaign to save people from making bets on a website i deem as not working. along with no communication. when he does pop back up im positive he will read this campaign, and will expect his remaining funds to be refunded. (which i will gladly do).

i am trying to be fair to all parties involved. as stated everyone who has qualified will receive half the agreed upon amounts. also you guys are free to join another campaign. i dont see that as being unfair to anyone at all.

If the owner of the site is scamming users then I do not think it is appropriate to be refunding excess campaign funds back to the owner. Especially not 1/2 of them. I would say at the very least members should get 2/3 of what they were promised.

owner is giveaways 0.1 for 50 guys = 5 btc when launching that site.
and he give some freebets after that.
he use escrow for his signature campaign.

how come you say it scam ?
OP this thread take hard decision for this , all will receive their payment.

i know some of you feel unfair , but in my opinion its the right movement from OP to prevent more trouble in the future.

if that money in escrow is enough to pay all participants for 1 month , i think better continue this sig till the end.
and if not enough , better cut become 2 weeks .

i agree with moonbux about yahoo , if there is still money left after pay all participants for 2 weeks , better escrow keep holding that till owner UpdownBot.bz  online again.

i think that more fair for now

is this possibble? if you try to send a bet to the site right now it just disppears. basically its like youre sending btc directly to him. no bet happens.

i dont think we should advertise a site that is not working properly. we would be having users getting screwed then.

should we pay users for the whole month? just call it a day? opinions needed.

monbux please hold off til we get some valuable opinions

sorry now i know what problem why yahoo want to closed this sig.

UpDownBot.bz have 3 game .

1.LTC/USD
2.BTC/USD
3.LTC/BTC

today yahoo bet in BTC/USD but seems bet didnt came till now.

bc4811594a4dee9f94b3ef7f47afd93f8f7b437b8bc383b8d93bd44a9814092e

And for make sure i try to bet on that site too
this is my hash :

7d8b02e25107136023e347422992a6472956cf23de22c247e02fb7e909a02918 --> this bet for BTC/USD and same like yahoo , my bet didnt come.

but when i try to bet on LTC/USD

fd692a1c47058097dd0541a06fcc4d1d3f7e2141b1e57c30fd807c5d5e4f6f82 ---> this bet come !

i think UpDownBot.bz has a bug problem in his site and the bad things is he never online again since 13th Sept.
Yahoo want to close that Signature because he dont want other people money get stuck because that site has a problem now.

i think you all will understand what im saying .

my opinions is : keep that sig running ,but yahoo must make new thread in gambling section and tell other UpDownBot.bz is having bug problem now ,dont bet there untill further explanation from owner.
and owner seems on vacations or idk why he cant online since 13th sept.

If the owner of the site has absconded (run away) and is not paying out winning bets on his site then it would probably be best to not to continue to advertise the site (especially if the OP does not want to be associated with a site that is possibly scamming).

How to best proceed would really depend on who your agreement is with. If your agreement is with yahoo, then if he wishes for you to payout early then there is no issue with paying out early as long as you payout the full amount promised to each user. Any excess can be returned to yahoo in this scenario.

If your agreement is with the owner of the site and it is apparent that the site is either not functioning properly or is scamming AND you are unable to contact the site owner to get advise as to how to proceed then it may be appropriate to end the campaign, pay users in full and hold the excess amount until the site owner is back online to give advice as to where to send the excess funds. If you can reach the site owner then you can simply follow the instructions as to how he wants to proceed (as it is his money).

I think this is extremely sketch. Yesterday you try to close the campaign and get 1/2 of the bitcoin held in escrow. Then today you try to take out "confidence" loans in the lending aubforum to build your trust. Now all of a sudden you happen to be able to get in touch with the site owner.

I don't know about everyone else but I sense a scam brewing.

theres no scam period. i have 0 trust rating. why is everyone dicks on here? i didnt need the btc from the loan at all. i was trying to build my rep. my wallet is in my profile. im damn sure not running over no damn .01 on anyone. and the btc from the sig campaign was gonna remain in escrow if the campaign closed.

Yeah, I was sleeping.  Yahoo, I thought that the users had a full month, until the 10th?
I'm going to work right now, hopefully can sort this out when I get back...

Monbux,

I suggest paying everyone on one day. Giving exceptions would complicate things.

no offense to you but you were well short of the goal here. and if you go on a posting spree in 1 day itd all be pretty much spam. how hard is it to post 1-2x a day?

im not trying to screw anyone here, but the obvious goal was to pay people to advertise the site via signatures. if you werent posting you didnt advertise very well did you?

im not trying to treat anyone unfair here guys/gals. we had 1 guy join the 10th. so i posted payouts 10th to cover everyone. i went through everyones posts today and everyone who had the 50 requirement met im paying. i also posted how many posts the people who were short had. most were well short of the goal.

when you join a sig campaign you are being paid for a service. remember that when you join the next campaign.

I'd like to point out that updown, in the last sig campaign, paid out for a period or two before stiffing everyone temporarily and causing a fiasco.  One payout period does not mean it is a legit campaign.
