Title: Ubuntu 14.4 upgrade / cgminer / sgminer fix Post by: samspaces on September 08, 2014, 11:03:57 AM Right, small post to show how I solved cgminer and sgminer not working with the ubuntu 14.4 upgrade.
Tinkered a lot with installing the latest AMD driver manually. Finally got it working by forcefully installing the driver and NOT the package specific option. Graphic interface was broken after that, got into another tty, did an aptitude update and somehow it was able to install the right fglrx updates and delete old packages from 12.04. After that, the graphic interface and driver worked and the miner programs as well. Not a very professional fix, but hey, the stuff is working again. Cheers. |
