Im a newb from Vegas looking to buy a piece of this revolution.


localbitcoins -- are only good for face to face transactions?

coinbase - is good for longterm buying?  but a quick search on google, I see a lot of "coinbase scam/fraud" results   ???

BTC-e also?

you can buy Bitcoins from virwox through PayPal or credit card quick way but...fees are too high and they have some limits as well.

You don't have to buy face to face, but what's wrong with that? You give them the cash and you get the coins. YOu can also buy from the Currency Exchnage here. Just use a trusted escrow.

bitstamp and bitfinex is pretty good for wiring money to and cashing out.

I would buy here on this forum using trusted escrow. You can check for offers on currency exchange section.

Btce is safe, but it's easier just trading cryptos than using fiat. What payment type are you wanting to use? Creditcards or bank transfers? This will make a big difference. Like others have said you can buy from here pretty easily with bank transfers or other such systems.

Localbitcoins or OTC forum trades with utilizing escrow seem to be waaaay more difficult from a beginning perspective.
The MtGox type of exchange service is just easy in comparison.

I really like this thread, but i do not know that newbie has another different place they buy their bitcoin.

Coinbase is not a fraud, I have used them many times and never had a problem.  You can find a few stories about them but overall they are great.

Localbitcoin is online aswell you are relying on another person online.  Get someone with good feedback.  

Coinbase will save you money chances are long term.  Some are worried about having to give out so much info localbitcoins does not require all the start up information and bank like coinbase.

Buy with your Western Union or any other bank account you have from localbitcoins, that's the fastest and easiest.

Yes they don't release funds until both parties agree the deal of s smooth.
Also, there is a feedback system. Try to buy from someone with at least 50-100 positive feedback.

The major problem I see belongs to comment-gaming, that is a highly illegal practice in North America a minimum of my home. Getting back together fake accounts that say "hey check out this company" repeatedly is tantamount to fraud by deceiving the client into believing you happen to be accepted you are

Since you are in the US, the best option IMO is to use coinbase or Kraken.

You can buy bitcoin from an ATM go to do a search in your area for robocoin.

Their office is also in vegas as well.

After that, the next best option would be coin base or btc-e. Buy a btc-e voucher code instead of depositing since this beats the time.

Just a side note, according to http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-atm-map/, there are in fact 3 different bitcoin ATMs in vegas (one by First Bitcoin Capital Corp, one by Coin Cloud and one by Robocoin) :)

Oh damn, even better lol. more additional places to go if you have any daily limits to 1 atm machine, you can make your rounds of all 3 lol.

Most exchange are legit until they closed trading trading like moolah/mintpal.

most thought mt. gox was a legit exchange and now look at it now.

You could try a bitcoin atm if you have one in your area, if not try some of the trusted members on this forum.
