Actually the coin launched on Monday. It's been almost 3 days. I saw the PRE-ANN 6 days before launch too. I don't see anything shady here.. =/

The coin is a Hybrid with PoW and PoS 2.0 with PoW ended at the 10,000th PoW block, there have been a number of blocks that were solved by PoS. As you can see in the following there are still 4561 PoW blocks left! The coin has been live since September 8, 8PM EST, the original thread was moved to the currend thread, so your claim of 6000 blocks in 24hrs is nonsense.

Vald you're correct. It's not messed at all. Ever since the switch to PoS, I've been getting mining payouts from my wallet.

The coin is a hybrid of Pow + PoS, the PoW phase should last for another 2 days as PoW is being done alongside PoS, with the PoW phase not ending until the 10,000th PoW block, that means that the blocks which are solved using PoS are not counted towards the number of PoW blocks solved so far and the rewards from solving PoS blocks are only with a variable interest of 1-3% rather than the PoW block reward of 600 CRACK. The coin will switch to Pure PoS after the 10,000th PoW block.

Using getinfo you can easily see the current number of PoW blocks that have been solved as well as the number of PoW blocks left in the following output.



As well you can use the following RPC methods to determine the number of remaining PoW blocks and approximate time left.

There are 10,000 pow blocks. Unlike most coins that go to 10,000 blocks regardless of whether they are generated by pow or pos.
This ensures that the total amount referenced in the Op is the amount that will be produced.

C-cex is also good，The trading platform is not how much worse than bittrex.

I don't know what you mean, I checked in Cryptsy and the coin is there, graphs history and all. I mean every coin have their image, this one have their own. I guess the world needs this kind of coin. Also I haven't seen other like this one. :D

CrackCoin is a new crypto currency project that has had plenty of attention from the community. The recent escapades of a Toronto’s Mayor involved in a scandal with Crack were the inspiration for the Team to choose the crypto currency name; this was the way the Team found to “to give tribute” to the infamous Mayor. Even though the currency name has been chosen with a sense of parody, this project has everything to succeed.
Now, fully launched and in its 100% PoS phase, CrackCoin is already being traded throughout many exchanges.
Bitcoinist tried to get some inside view from the CrackCoin Team and contacted them through the Team IRC Chat Channel. Luckily, we were able to have some conversation:

Can you start by giving a brief presentation of your project?

We have a mid size development team behind CrackCoin. We’ve been following the crypto scene for almost 2 years but not until recently did we decide to create CrackCoin.
This is our first coin and we have big plans for it. We see coins come and go, but we truly believe, “If you’re going to do something right, do it right the first time.”
We have two main points that set CrackCoin apart from every other crypto currency.
1) Our Toronto airdrop. For citizens of Toronto, there’s 250 FREE CrackCoins waiting for you to claim. We figured after all the negative press Toronto has been getting lately it’s a nice way to give back to the citizens of Toronto.

2) Our 100% native Android App.

The airdrop is a campaign we`re running in Toronto (for now). When a Toronto citizen would like to claim their free 250 CrackCoins, they simply go to http://crackco.in, enter their phone number, and an SMS will be sent to them containing a code.
They are then prompted to enter the code and their wallet ID. Upon successfully entering both, the coins will be sent to their wallet!

Does Crackcoin have anymore special features? Please explain us about the mining period POW and how the CrackCoin POS staking works.

CrackCoin is a PoW and PoS 2.0 hybrid with a 6 million coin supply and 1-3% interest with variable staking interest. We launched on September 8 and by September 15, PoW was finished; Now we are 100% in PoS mode. It’s Pos 2.0, which is Proof of Stake, whereby your coins are used to stake on the network and process transactions rather than the energy inefficient “PoW” process; we’re using Blackcoin’s PoS 2.0 because of how successful it was for BC and the code is rock solid.
But people shouldn’t feel like they missed out, because CrackCoin is trading to bittrex, Ccex, Lazycoins, and coin-swap!

Are you planning to introduce some new features?

Yes, we’re also working on something which is extremely top secret right now, but let’s just say, it will be one of a kind in the crypto currency industry.
No other coin has even attempted to do this. You can refer to this project as “Project Snow” for now. I can’t reveal any more than that, other than it will be being released in a few weeks or so. We have big plans for CrackCoin, and very talented/hardworking developers behind it. We don’t want to tread the same path as every other Coin, but instead forge our own path and become leaders in the crypto industry. there doesn't seem to have a big hype team like a lot of the other coins do... prob has a lot to do with it,  I haven't been on the irc at all, dev was on here today so they're still around. price is low and there was 40 btc of volume traded on bittrex in the last 24 hrs. I'm a bit bummed the price dropped but that amount of volume means it could be getting spread around good. I'm deff holding what I have to see what the dev makes of it... might buy some more at these cheap prices, the dev has done good work so far.

note: a lot of coin hype teams are just a few people with multiple accounts on diff websites pushing their coins... over hype always feels shady to me.
