Title: Absolute basic signing client Post by: Cred on April 22, 2012, 07:02:56 PM After reading the posts about having the most secure wallet on an 'offline' device I thought about the old HP Journada 520 pocket pc I have lying around that is too old to do much else with but would seem to do nicely in the role of offline wallet given its lack of connectivity.
Is there a client that would run on this out there or which would be most suitable? I doubt you'ld be able to get a client (e.g., Armory, Multibit, electrum, etc.) to work on it due to hardware constraints. Maybe electrum? A lot of work to get it to work even if it could.
You could use its web browser (loading a page off of a flash memory storage medium perhaps?) - The html from http://www.BitAddress.org could then be loaded and used to create paper wallets. I'm not sure how you'ld print from it though. For transactions, the offline mode of My Wallet from Blockchain.info will let you create a spend transaction. Keeping it entirely offline though it won't have any inputs with a balance that could be used for spending. - http://BlockChain.info/wallet |
