Finally, eBay announced that its PayPal unit will begin accepting Bitcoin Payments. About a year after PayPal acquired online and mobile payments platform Braintree, the company announces it will begin Bitcoin integration.

Bill Ready, the chief of EBay’s Braintree unit, announced at the Techcrunch’s Disrupt SF conference this monday:

Probably not or it would've happened by now. If Paypal actually went all out and announced they were dealing with it then maybe, but this by itself wont be enough to move the price.

Yeh. Title seems to be misleading as it doesn't seem to be Paypal that is directly accepting btc but braintree which is a subsidiary of either them or ebay. Paypal announcing that they were going to integrate bitcoin would be huge and would very likely have a big impact on the price. Being able to spend bitcoin on ebay or anywhere paypal was accepted would be massive.
