Title: Looking to buy bitcoins via U.S. bank deposit
Post by: PA992 on September 11, 2014, 12:15:47 PM
Money that was transferring from Paypal to my bank account finally cleared so I went to Coinbase to place a purchase and Coinbase presented me with this @#%&$*& up message:

"Please wait until your first bitcoin purchase completes before making additional purchases.
(Once your first purchase completes you can make multiple purchases at the same time.)"

Coinbase also tells me that that purchase will be completed at the end of the day on Monday, Sep 15th! I can't wait that long! What a horrible company! Don't you think in light of the paypal news, the price will be much higher by then!?

So, as the title of this thread says, I'd like to buy about $50 worth of bitcoin via bank deposit, and hopefully you won't make me wait 24 hrs. or something before sending them to me?

When you move fiat in or out of coinbase, it takes a couple business days to clear because it's a ACH process. These are never instant, which is not Coinbase's fault. When you withdrew money from your paypal account into your bank account it's also a few days because it's also ACH process. If you want instant, then link a credit card, although fees are pretty high with this method.

I can buy up to $1000 a week using coinbase instantly very convenient.  I just wish they would make it $2000

Obviously you're not comprehending the fact that Coinbase is preventing me from initiating another purchase until Sepetember 15th and that after my first purchase completes, they won't impose this restriction on me. This is the complaint in this thread.
