Title: Wrong login or password with Deepbit Post by: Madschr on April 24, 2012, 07:44:53 PM So basicly I recently got into mining. I set up to a pool, created an account on deepbit etc, etc. But now as all the things are done I can't even connect to the pool, since my username or password is wrong? I checked it a lot of times and it is the right user/pass.

Ok guys: The login for Deepbit account is very different from the one you have to type in the terminal... If you go to your Deepbit "My Account" page, you will notice that: your mining username is your email with "_something"... And on the right, there is another column named "Pass" with the password you have to type in the command... So... I did the mistake and got many Code: pit.deepbit.net:8332 Deepbit.lib.InfoException: wrong login or password: Basic ----------------------------------------------------- More clearly: instead of typing: Code: python poclbm.py --platform 0 -d 0 my.email@gmail.com:xxx@pit.deepbit.net:8332 I now type: Code: python poclbm.py --platform 0 -d 0 my.email_somethin@gmail.com:deepbitaccountpass@pit.deepbit.net:8332 Hope this will help! So i'm runing W7 x64 alongside GUIMiner v2012-02-19 since a couple of months already and everything worked fine until my video card crashed. So i just got it back and when i run guiminer.exe and select deepbit, key in my email address and the SAME password that i use to logon deepbit.net it gives me the dreaded: Deepbit.lib.InfoException: wrong login or password: Basic <longassstring> Now, i have redownloaded the latest v2012-02-19 and tried again from scratch, no go. Also by looking under the Deepbit "My account" page, i've noticed that my username is exactly the SAME email that i used and which doesn't work in the GUI software but works on their website. Lastly, "Refresh balance" gives my proper balance after having entered my key. I'm lost here, anybody got any clues about this?
