Secure Hash Algorithms NIST SHA-3 candidate algorithms

- Implementation based on the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) publication.

The NIST hash function competition was an open competition held by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to develop a new hash function called SHA-3 to complement the older SHA-1 and SHA-2. NIST selected five SHA-3 candidate algorithms to advance to the third (and final) round: BLAKE - Grøstl (Knudsen et al.) - JH - Keccak (Keccak team, Daemen et al.) - Skein (Schneier et al.)

NIST noted some factors that figured into its selection as it announced the finalists:
•   Performance
•   Security
•   Analysis: "NIST eliminated several algorithms because of the extent of their second-round tweaks or because of a relative lack of reported cryptanalysis – either tended to create the suspicion that the design might not yet be fully tested and mature."
•   Diversity: The finalists included hashes based on different modes of operation, including the HAIFA and sponge function constructions, and with different internal structures, including ones based on AES, bitslicing, and alternating XOR with addition.

If talkcoin without the support of the community is not a popular, tac will face death, although DVE has great innovation. DVE effort of will also zero. Are you kill yourself.

The video version is still in a beta state, the last bugs have been fixed. True development takes a long time.

As explained earlier, the voting system and dev fund will be removed and the block reward will be changed to 5 unless you have objections.

What is the result of changing the block reward? Does this have implications on the price? Is this in favor of new investors or current investors?

Talkcoin is being actively worked hard on and I don't expect it to be delisted from bittrex. I have now joined as a developer and I'm currently working on an android client as well as looking into new ideas for talkcoin features. I'll be putting a lot of time into talkcoin development over the coming weeks and months and the dev is working on it also. Expect to see an announcement about this in the next few days.

We're going to start building up a new roadmap so if anyone has ideas they'd like to see in talkcoin then feel free to post them.

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't speak for the dev and maybe he has a different view on this, but the way I see it is that video chat would probably be moving away from cryptocurrency or blockchain features. Video, unlike text chat, would not involve the blockchain so it would be effectively bolting on an outside feature, and one which would probably take a huge amount of development to get it working well. In that time, many currency or blockchain features could be developed instead. Dev, what are your thoughts?

Yes, it would be a software like skype without link with the blockchain technology.

You can try the command line argument -nochat or run the dameon talkcoind (no GUI).

A v2 osx client is coming up.

I am running under Windows 7. Solo Mining still crashed when run with -nochat in command line. This time it just stopped working :

Dev, did you inform Poloniex and Bittrex about the new wallet?
I tried a small withdrawal from Poloniex to be deposited in Bittrex, Poloniex's status "completed". But nothing show up at Bittrex.

Edit: Bittrex has credited my TAC after I opened a ticket.

What goes wrong? Which OS X version are you using?

I can't speak for the main dev but I'm currently working on the android wallet, there have been a few problems so it has become a bit of a bottleneck. Hopefully out December. I've been in the process of learning coin development so I'm still getting up to speed. Once it's released there will be the chance to look into more interesting things. Any feature suggestions are welcome.

That's the talkcoin version. If you click the apple on the left of the screen menu bar and select "About this mac" you can get the OS X version. It may be that older OS X versions won't work with the client the way it's currently built.

Hah, just found a bunch of Talkcoin in an old Poloniex account. Any wallet alive still?

No idea , probably all dead or something without a node or seed or w/e to connect them to ? Noone have posted any ?

I have no idea how to set it up.

My wallet last connection was at block 1131019 and that was 2 months ago.
