Title: [2014-09-14]The 5 Most Popular US States for Bitcoin
Post by: btcm4n14c on September 13, 2014, 10:05:29 PM
Bitcoin’s popularity keeps growing by the day.

Even in the face of regulatory speed bumps and PR fiascos, the number of merchants accepting bitcoin, the number of bitcoin wallets and the amount of venture capital invested in the industry all continue to rise.

As the public’s interest in the digital currency grows, bitcoin ATMs have proven to be critical for bridging the gap between casual onlookers and active bitcoin owners.

Bitcoin ATMs offer users the ability to instantly purchase the digital currency, which, for many first-time buyers especially, adds a touch of familiarity to an otherwise foreign experience.

The title of this article is horrendously misleading. It should say "States with the Most Bitcoin ATM Terminals". This not absolutely not a good indicator of the popularity of bitcoin itself. For that, you'd need to account for hashrate, trade volume, number of businesses accepting, and number of users or meetup.com group members. There are many, many more factors than that at play, but those numbers would give you a ballpark measure of popularity.

This article is just pure laziness in every single way.

I was complaining about the title of article. You did not write that title. Therefore, I wasn't complaining about you at all, in any way possible. You made this thread, not that article, and I did not complain about the thread in any way, which would be extremely obvious to anybody reading it. Why did you take this as a personal attack?

The author is either smoking weed or have no idea about the Bitcoin sector in the United States. IMO, Ohio must be in the top 3, as they have a Bitcoin boulevard in addition to other Bitcoin-based ventures. Also, none of the states in the Pacific Northwest feature in this article. The Bitcoin sector is really booming in states such as Washington and Oregon, but the author completely ignores them.

Have you ever been in those cities and states?
But I remember you said you never set foot in the US and you don't plan to go into this rotten country.

So , how the hell do you know this better than people living there?
