Depends how you can pay. Bittylicious is easy for UKers but you will pay a premium. You can also buy from people on the forums here.

If you want an easy and fast transaction just use localbitcoins.com and find a seller close to you.

Yes, localbitcoins for sure.  or isn't there any BitcoinATM near around you?

I don't think there's many if any ATMs in the UK. Maybe they have one somewhere in London, though.

Localbitcoins or at least you could contact a trusted user in the currency exchange section of the forum.

I'd also suggest just meeting someone in person and doing a cash for btc deal.  That way you'll make a friend in the bitcoin community and you don't have to worry about whether or not some site is a scam.

Localbitcoins and selling on the forum is two you could try and I would recommend. Be cautious though and always trust your gut instinct no matter who you deal with :)

I always buy on localbitcoins.com. Just choose a seller with good feedback (positive and lots of it) and you should be ok. I could look up a couple I've bought from if that would help, but it would have to be this evening as I'm about to leave for work.

Let me know if you want me to.

Thanks for the advice I have had a few PM's off sellers straight away looking to sell also asking for Skype.

What's people's views on this and is it OK to "out" sellers or user names that PM me too verify there trustworthy ?  ???

Thanks

If you buy from anyone on the board, make sure you use a trusted escrow to hold your funds before they are transferred to the seller on completion. Anyone asking you to do otherwise is likely a scammer (disregard their trust rating).

Also, don't trust anyone claiming to be the localbitcoins users Ive listed above. Either buy from localbitcoins.com, or use an escrow.

p.s. most of the people who whispered you are probably scammers.

p.p.s. For escrow, see this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=775256.0

You can easily buy here on this forum from trusted users or using escrow.

I think, instead of paying a premium at a UK based "local shop", it is better to buy through one of the exchanges that accepts SEPA payments.
