motherboard ASROK 970 EX4 RAM corsair 4G DDR3 CPU AMD sempron 145 GPU AMD radeon 7950*2 power supply cooler master 700w Im using cgminer 3.7 as I remember and litcoinpool.org as a pool r the miner and the pool good for a rig like this ?? whats the best scrypt to use something noob to start Thx for all of Title: Re: best scrypt for litecoin mining using cgminer Post by: 110110101 on September 16, 2014, 12:34:01 PM Mining Litecoin with GPUS is not going to be profitable, as there are scrypt asics out now that will push the diff sky-high. See for yourself using a scrypt profit calculater, for instance: coinwarz.com (http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/litecoin-mining-calculator/?h=1200&p=500&pc=0.10&pf=1&d=33030.33754009&r=50.00000000&er=0.01090102&btcer=478.89450000&hc=0.00) As it stands now, the electricity will cost more than the profits you are hoping top make.
I would suggest that you look into alternative algorithms like X11, X13, X15. Read up on what crypto currencies you find good and join a mining pool. If you do not want payouts in a special currency other than BTC, then pointing your rig towards a multipool is probably the better option for you. As an alternative/comparison, check my sig (http://gawminers.go2cloud.org/SH9a) and look at hashlets. You could get about 1.2 MHps with your two cards. 1 MHps of scrypt cloud hashing starts at $15, but I would go for the Zenhashlet that is $21. If you still want to use your cards for scrypt mining, look here for a few cgminer hints: Litecoin.info (https://litecoin.info/mining_hardware_comparison) Title: Re: best scrypt for litecoin mining using cgminer Post by: beegatewood on September 16, 2014, 01:28:21 PM GPU right now is non-profitable for all algo, best to just sell them when they still have some value..
