Only an address that you created by yourself using a reliable random generator is yours. I am not quite sure what is "vanitygen online". Do you mean a site called "vanitygen online" or downloaded "vanitygen" online? There is a difference. The safest way to use "vanitygen" is to download it from original official site and run it OFFLINE. Running it Online? Yes, that is risky. Downloading and running locally (from a site you trust) and not connected to the net while running it, safe machine etc, that is safer. So, it generated it, I used instructions to make, edit and import the key, and after the sync, wallet is working on my PC on MultiBit app. |
