Title: Givemoney.to launched!
Post by: Avrecea on September 16, 2014, 01:27:14 PM
Hi all,

We've recently released a new platform called Givemoney.to.

URL : givemoney.to (http://givemoney.to)

The vision is to allow everyone to give money to anyone else in the world.
The mission is to be the best social giving platform on the web.

Bitcoin as a currency has huge potential and benefits over ordinary currency, but it's received a lot of negative press.
We are trying to bring one of Bitcoin's best potential into practical reality. Bitcoin has no boundaries.
Givemoney.to (http://Givemoney.to) is meant to allow anyone to support other people, artists, or causes, everywhere in the world.
This will make Bitcoin a force of good in the world, establishing its role as a bona fide monetary medium.

The website's idea is probably pretty obvious from the name.
You sign up with a username, and you get your own page like so :
https://givemoney.to/avrecea (https://givemoney.to/avrecea)
This URL is then handy to include in your email signatures, banners, flyers, etc.
People can "tweet" along with their donations/payments so that hashtag-centric trends can develop, but this service allows people to put their money where their mouth is.

The website is completely ready for use, please feel free to use it with your friends!
Simply login and setup a disbursement method (how you will get your money). At the moment, we are working with Coinbase wallets, but in the future we will add other methods, such as direct BTC or LTC addresses.
Feedback appreciated, some cosmetics might be rough around the edges, we hope you bear with us while we tirelessly work to be a force for good with Bitcoin.
Please also direct anyone seeking to raise funds to our new platform :)

Cheers!
Givemoney.to Team

We're starting to see a decent amount of new signups, so I'd recommend anyone who has an attachment to a particular username to secure theirs early!
Usernames aren't usually all that important, but in this case, the site serves up your own page at givemoney.to/username, so it does play a bit of an important role.

Cheers :)
