They might use more power, but I have a flashed 6950 happily mining at 400MH/s. For something with a higher resale to gamers than a 5870 and a full warranty, it's a pretty nice price. The shaders are not unlock-able, as expected with newer cards. I have them running at 850/725 core/mem and am getting 345Mh/s. Do you think it would be worthwhile to flash the bios in order to downclock that memory more? My power is pretty cheap (.048) but Im still interested in shaving off the watts. High memory = big increase in watts with a reduction in mhash.
