Title: WTS: (2) ATI 5970
Post by: xanadu on May 01, 2012, 02:39:42 AM
The cards are ATI Radeon HD 5970 2gb editions.

Both are from an open-air mining rig for 9 months, never OC'd or over temp, no fan or resetting issues at all. They are completely stock, never opened up or modified in any manner.

$325 (or BTC equivalent) each, shipping included (priority mail from the Seattle area) within the continental US, if you buy both I'll throw in (2) 4-pin molex to 8-pin PCIe power adapters, a 16x PCIe riser cable and the crossfire cable.

Here are some photos of the actual cards:

Why are you selling?

Why are you selling?
Just thinning out the mining rigs, my return on mining vs. electricity is approaching the breakeven point.

Will you work with escrow?
What were the hash rates you were getting?

If the escrow service is considered reliable and have a method for me to recover the cards if the funds are not released, then sure, I'm in no particular rush.

Hash rates were ~325 per core running under BAMT at stock settings.

Thanks,
-X

$650 in current BTC at 24h MtGox average at the time we agree. I'll require a reputable user to provide escrow service.

Edit : including shipping to France

Dammit, $325 is a REALLY good price for these.  Too bad I just paid rent and I don't have the money to spend at the moment :(

hehe, no probs. if your interested do watch them. The snipe rate on those is really pretty low. I'd be willing to bet they both go for under $350

cheers

edit; sorry to use your thread for this. Does the bid history on the first one look a little more than suspicious? http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=140746431424&showauto=true

That does seem odd.  Maybe someone else retracted their bid and it erased the auto-bids done through the Max Bid option?  Never really looked into how withdrawing your bid works and how it effects the bid history.

Looks like some one set autobid to make sure it sold for at least $300. Ebays own bid bot to maximize their percentage take?

675 USD or equivalent BTC.
Would have outbid this. I don't know if the difference would have cover shipping expenses difference but seems worth noting.

You did outbid liquidx ($650 in current BTC for just 2 good cards), buyer chose to sell to liquidx instead. It happens on hear all of the time. I don't buy stuff from people on this forum because it isn't fair. I look, then go to ebay. There is no transparency here and sellers cherry pick a lot.

Btw fwiw, escrow for this went through successfully. Buyer got what he wanted it and stress-tested it for a day, seller received BTC. Went on without a hitch.
