Title: Big problem with Librexcoin and LXCcoin
Post by: CryptoCurrencyInc.com on September 19, 2014, 02:25:34 PM
I just found out that they are two different coins.

At first I thought Librexcoin and LXCcoin are the same.
So, I bought Librexcoin (symbol LXC) from Bittrex. I made a withdrawal from Bittrex to LXCcoin wallet. Bittrex withdrawal went through.
But, no coins show up in my LXCcoin wallet because these coins are Librexcoin.

So, I contacted Bittrex and Bittrex reply:

" If the address validates as valid the system will still send it there is no way around that.
The receiving side can export the address private key and that can be imported into your LXC wallet and the coins should show up.
Thanks,
Ryan "

What I wanted to know was how can the address validates if they are clearly two different coins?

This is like saying if you are sending coins to your btc address and expecting the coins to go to your peercoin wallet, and the system let the coins go through, but no coins show up on your peercoin wallet.

How is that possible?

Any thoughts?

Code:
dumpprivkey <address>
importprivkey <privkey>

I tried it, it saids Invalid private key (code -5).

Obviously, they are two different kind of coins, and two different wallet.
Maybe that's why it saids: Invalid private key (code -5)

But, how was Bittrex able to send it to LXCcoin wallet if they are two different coins?

try "validateaddress <addr> command" against the address you sent coins to with that different wallet.

Generally the tx would be rejected by the wallet if the address is alien.

Does the Bittrex withdrawal show up in the Librexcoin Blockchain Explorer?
