Can someone explain why he said hundred pixels for my bitcoin ?

I am also confuse about it.

I assume it's because he thinks bitcoins are about as "real" as pixels on a computer. Perhaps he thinks "real" money is better because he can hold it, and imagines all money is actually printed on bits of paper and metal coins. If that were the case then he's making some pretty foolish assumptions in his attempt at humour.


I guess the joke's on him.


I never did like Steve Martin's humour.

Steve Martin is a well known prick. If he didn't work with comedic legends no one would even know he existed.

Guys he is joking and it was pretty funny come on.

Clearly he actually is intrigued by bitcoin else he wouldnt give it a mention.

Yes, it's true! Let's take it easy guys.

He's only making a joke. That's what he is supposed to do.

And the best thing is: he is bringing a little more attention to Bitcoin, and that's what matters.

I once traded a hundred Pixels for some Stexels, then try to use them to pay for a Martini at a bar, whereupon the bartender said, "Boy, you crypto geeks: You have a different coin for everything!" I replied with, "Well Excu-u-u-u-use me!" I paid for the Martini with a fiat paper bill equal to ~$20 USD (you know how those things fluctuate), thinking to myself that this dude doesn't know how fucked he truly is.

On a side note, anybody interested in some Stexels for a few thousand Pixels. Rumor has it that Stexels are headin' to da moon, and you could purchase stuff with them, just not Martinis.

He was the best in my blue heaven movie.

Although these come out as jokes I think he is actually interested in BTC. Regardless of that it's some free publicity (and relatively a good one compared to *btc is crashing* bbc type of news.

This is why stuff like twitter sucks, when people try to post something that needs explaining in 140 characters that one line can take several different meanings.

I believe he is trying to say he just bought 100 bitcoin..

he does not understand a shit but at least good advertising for bitcoin  ;D
