As a pool operator, I have to say, that launch was as smooth as it gets.  The source compiled without a hitch, and there wasn't any funny business at all.

The launch was the most smooth I have personally ever seen and the girl who runs this coin is a moderator for Bittrex. There are a lot of big players in the chat too, I will be mining this one until PoS!

Need to clear that up. This coin is mine, but it has no affillation with Bittrex, and neither do I. Currently my work is 100% volunteer for them.

cummingtonight https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=792203.0

Heritage: RDD reddcoin
As an aside, apparently RDD is the only coin I've seen that is based on litecoin and is PoS

Problems:

* MODERATE: genesis seed is not a news event.
* MINOR: Premine is slightly wrong. Actual premine is 1.01%, not 1%. Max amount of coins is also wrong. It is 690,000
* MINOR: First 9 blocks were premined and undisclosed(other than the premine block), yielding 552 extra premine coins, bringing total premine to  1.09%

Notes:
premine is checkpointed.

Watermarks: uint64 with PoS, reqwallet rpc

I have 0% premine and the code has been reviewed by earlz earlier in this thread. 1% went to the actual code developer - the backbone. I own the coin. PoD is irrelevant and unnecessary. Many people know who I am and trust me without no problems.

Dev: "Many people know who I am and trust me without no problems."

And, also many do not, which is the purpose of a PoD. There are many ways
to establish credibility. I like humor, and there is not enough in the crypto world.
And, this coin looks interesting. But please, give an indication of who you are, or
this will just go down as another scam coin, albeit a humorous one.

Yes, let me elaborate.

Hi I'm Kiely, a 23 year old girl from Seattle, WA. I am on about 25 crypto channels on IRC and am friends with a lot of devs, pool operators, and exchange owners. The people running everything that makes your altcoins go, I am friends with a lot of them and trusted among them. Yes, I do volunteer on Bittrex as an OP in #bittrex and trollbox mod, but I don't like to use that as credibility as I am not officially affiliated with them only being a volunteer. I also run the price bot in a lot of channels on freenode and have built good trust on Bitcointalk now that I've started to sell my services.

I am also @cryptokiely on Twitter and I do coin giveaways and promotions all the time.

Kassado created the code and the 1% premine was his payment for doing so.

Read the beginning of the thread. The pool operators were stating that this was one of the smoothest launches they've ever been a part of. Kassado may or may not continue on the dev team depending on how busy he is.

Big Fail , u will be holding up your hand asking miners / investors for money within a week.

So, investors wouldn't want to donate to make their coin potentially worth more? I fail to see how your logic makes sense.

Is there a set way of doing these? Should we fall in the first 3 days like the entire last month of coins? Has everyone been trained into being fed the same thing over and over and over again ad nauseum?

This coin will be original. We are working in the IRC right now on ideas, promotion, teams to setup, graphics etc. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Rebranding tonight. New logo, new OP [ANN]. Working on a website.

Don't sell your CUM prematurely :)

Do you mean you gonna be changing the name?
Anyways it's definitely good to see you're taking this seriously. I like the op  :) I was able to mine some CUM at launch and I'm gonna be holding on to my coins. What started out as a laugh might actually turn out to be profitable  ;D

If Kiely pulls this off and gets some good devs on the project, with less than 1M supply this could go very high.

Guys, I would love to continue this coin but I'm getting absolutely no help from kassado. I gave him an updated wallet 2 days ago (just simple graphical changes to get rid of the plain black circle icons) and he hasn't even merged it to github yet.

I am not a scammer and I hate not delivering. This coin was pretty much pushed onto me, it has stressed me to no end and I have broken down many times over the past week. I don't know C++, I don't know the ins and outs of the Bitcoin wallet and blockchains, and I can't possibly learn fast enough to keep up with updates and keep the wallet going with new features. I can't pay for devs because kassado took the 1.09% premine and gave me absolutely none of it to put out for bounties. I put my personal money into graphics, the tip bot, another awesome person put their money into the block explorer, I made everything except the logo, I've been promoting it, getting people using it, submitted it to Bittrex with all of the requirements. At this point I just don't know what else I can do.

Unless I get some kind of help, or kassado wants to start helping, this is kassado's coin and I was just a regular person doing promotion, graphics, and accumulating coins just like any other of you. My work and time will have been wasted, along with all of yours. I'm not going anywhere. I'll be here, feel free to PM me, send me a PM on IRC, whatever.

At this point, I have done all I can do.

I still have my coins, I'm not dumping - here's my wallet CSTZExCCSKXnLdbaGZxeNtHW6oUZaXNbqx

keep calm and cum on ;)

I wasn't expecting a new dev to be found right away, if the wallets and mining are going smooth then theres no real panic to find help... price is getting low enough that it would be worth it to a dev to buy their own premine and offer to takeover

don't put too much pressure on yourself

Not a terrible idea, just I don't want to be at fault for this coin failing as I got no help from the real coin dev.

If anyone has any original ideas for this coin, and are able to implement them - the 7400 CUM bounty would gladly go to you. PM me.

Here is the newest source with updated logos, updated splash. Not compiled, sent, but never merged to github.

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/45343219/cummingtonite.zip - Build it for a nicer wallet if you'd like.

CamU31xMy63KtKTr5YuqRCBugi3UKKsGRV is the donation address, but I will not be working on this coin unless we get some serious devs able to implement features for money in the bounty fund. Bounties will be paid out and the wallet can be handed over if needed. I can do promotion, graphics, whatever.

Dev, make PoD !!!

I have 0% premine and the code has been reviewed by earlz earlier in this thread. 1% went to the actual code developer - the backbone. I own the coin. PoD is irrelevant and unnecessary. Many people know who I am and trust me without no problems.

Currently my work is 100% volunteer for them.

kassado is the dev, he made the coin but never merged my updates to the wallet and never offered any help. He holds 100% of the 1.09% premine, leaving me with 0%. If you want someone to blame, blame kassado. I did all the promotion, I did all of the graphics. My time was wasted, just as all of yours was.

Anyone know what is going on with the functionality of the coin, all drama aside? POW has ended and POS should have started. Forgive me for being completely unacknowledged of how POS works but nothing seems to be happening. My last few coins for POW are sitting unconfirmed, as is the last transaction of confirmed coins I had sent to my wallet.

How do we get a hold of him then.

IRC. He owns Rubycoin if that helps.

Congratulations Kiely!!! Cummingtonite will forever go down as the worst launch in crypto! You now hold a unique title that no other "dev" can claim. I want to commend you on behalf of this community for your failings. We hope you enjoy your duly earned and newly-attainted title.

I am curious, why are you pointing at kiely for all of this? Is she the developer of this coin? cause from my understanding it was developed by kassado? where is he in all of this?

Exactly. Thank you argakiig.

I did all I could do. I was put in a bad situation seemingly on purpose. I have even went as far as to paying people back BTC that they lost when buying CUM.

I now have .03 BTC in _all_ of my wallets, and 300 SDC. I am broke. This has absolutely destroyed me financially.

It is not about the fact that you too lost money on this. We all did. The problem I am having is that you openly stated that YOU own CUM and after the mess you denied this.

Quoting you here:
Quote
This coin is mine, but it has no affillation with Bittrex, and neither do I.

Quote
I have 0% premine and the code has been reviewed by earlz earlier in this thread. 1% went to the actual code developer - the backbone. I own the coin. PoD is irrelevant and unnecessary. Many people know who I am and trust me without no problems.

Despite all of this mess I wish you the best. Good luck with your loss. Hope that you will make up for it somehow :) No hard feelings here. Maybe just another lesson for both of us. Anything can happen in this market.

May I ask why the Dev does not simply fix the staking issue ?

He probably just forked the coin from another Stake-Coin and forgot to tweak the LAST_POW_BLOCK value or something similar.. Can't be too hard.

The dev is not even responding. We might need to chase him up. Anyone has his BCT user ID? At least PM him and ask him for a response. If he is not working on this coin anymore he should put the premine in the dev fund and we can take-over this coin.

Look at Rubycoin. It's stuck in block 124999 (the block right before PoS) and disabled on Bittrex. Do I spot a...coincidence?

He took the full 1.09% of the premine. He accumulated thousands more to dump after the premine.

The missing line has nothing todo with the staking issue.

I'm currently out of time but i'll give it a look later too..

When comparing Ruby with CUM its clear that it is the same codebase.

I've made some tests and for me it looks like it is mining (staking) but the blocks cannot be signed by the wallet - not sure why though, its not a very trivial solution as far as I see.

Someone with more time should look more closely.

Technical stuff:

SignBlock() fails with PoS blocks.

Thats correct, your wallet tries to "do POS" but it rejects the blocks itself creates - thats why the network is stalled.

Its exactly the same issue with Ruby btw..

what your referring to is actually a section of the code that is returned when you do rpccommand 'getmininginfo' it doesn't actually have anything to do with the mining of the coin and as such would not cause the coin to fail in signblock.

Not sure if this is the problem but I did notice this:

https://github.com/rubycoinorg/rubycoin/blob/master/src/rpcmining.cpp
Code:
Value getmininginfo(const Array& params, bool fHelp)
{
    if (fHelp || params.size() != 0)
        throw runtime_error(
            "getmininginfo\n"
            "Returns an object containing mining-related information.");

    Object obj;
    obj.push_back(Pair("blocks",        (int)nBestHeight));
    obj.push_back(Pair("currentblocksize",(uint64_t)nLastBlockSize));
    obj.push_back(Pair("currentblocktx",(uint64_t)nLastBlockTx));
    obj.push_back(Pair("difficulty",    (double)GetDifficulty()));
    obj.push_back(Pair("errors",        GetWarnings("statusbar")));
    obj.push_back(Pair("generate",      GetBoolArg("-staking")));
    obj.push_back(Pair("genproclimit",  (int)GetArg("-genproclimit", 0)));
    obj.push_back(Pair("hashespersec",  gethashespersec(params, false)));
    obj.push_back(Pair("networkhashps", getnetworkhashps(params, false)));
    obj.push_back(Pair("pooledtx",      (uint64_t)mempool.size()));
    obj.push_back(Pair("testnet",       fTestNet));

    // ppcoin
    uint64 nAverageWeight = 0, nTotalWeight = 0;
    pwalletMain->GetStakeWeight(*pwalletMain, nAverageWeight, nTotalWeight);
    Object weight;
    weight.push_back(Pair("average", (uint64_t)nAverageWeight));
    weight.push_back(Pair("total",   (uint64_t)nTotalWeight));
    obj.push_back(Pair("stakeweight", weight));
    obj.push_back(Pair("stakeinterest",  (uint64_t)COIN_YEAR_REWARD));
    obj.push_back(Pair("netstakeweight", (uint64_t)GetPoSKernelPS()));
    return obj;
}

https://github.com/cummingtonite/cummingtonite/blob/master/src/rpcmining.cpp
Code:
Value getmininginfo(const Array& params, bool fHelp)
{
    if (fHelp || params.size() != 0)
        throw runtime_error(
            "getmininginfo\n"
            "Returns an object containing mining-related information.");

    Object obj;
    obj.push_back(Pair("blocks",        (int)nBestHeight));

    obj.push_back(Pair("networkhashps", getnetworkhashps(params, false)));
    obj.push_back(Pair("pooledtx",      (uint64_t)mempool.size()));
    obj.push_back(Pair("testnet",       fTestNet));

    // ppcoin
    uint64 nAverageWeight = 0, nTotalWeight = 0;
    pwalletMain->GetStakeWeight(*pwalletMain, nAverageWeight, nTotalWeight);
    Object weight;
    weight.push_back(Pair("average", (uint64_t)nAverageWeight));
    weight.push_back(Pair("total",   (uint64_t)nTotalWeight));
    obj.push_back(Pair("stakeweight", weight));
    obj.push_back(Pair("netstakeweight", (uint64_t)GetPoSKernelPS()));
    return obj;
}

Missing line of code in the cummingtonite/blob/master/src/rpcmining.cpp file:
Code:
obj.push_back(Pair("stakeinterest",  (uint64_t)COIN_YEAR_REWARD));

Rubycoin is currently stuck too. I wouldn't take anything from that code.

Correct

For anyone mad at me, or people who don't trust me:

There is nothing I could've done about the blockchain stopping at 10,000 blocks. Rubycoin also had this problem today.

How about the person who claimed they were in charge and who paid the dev contact him to make sure it is fixed. (I did contact kassado and he said he was busy)
