cummingtonight https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=792203.0 Heritage: RDD reddcoin As an aside, apparently RDD is the only coin I've seen that is based on litecoin and is PoS Problems: * MODERATE: genesis seed is not a news event. * MINOR: Premine is slightly wrong. Actual premine is 1.01%, not 1%. Max amount of coins is also wrong. It is 690,000 * MINOR: First 9 blocks were premined and undisclosed(other than the premine block), yielding 552 extra premine coins, bringing total premine to 1.09% Notes: premine is checkpointed. Watermarks: uint64 with PoS, reqwallet rpc Title: Re: [ANN] [CUM] [SCRYPT POW/POS] Cummingtonite Post by: PvPpro on September 23, 2014, 01:27:00 AM WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF??????????????????????????????????????????? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Title: Re: [ANN] [CUM] [SCRYPT POW/POS] Cummingtonite Post by: kitaco on September 23, 2014, 01:56:43 AM Block Explorer

I fail to see how your logic makes sense. Is there a set way of doing these? Should we fall in the first 3 days like the entire last month of coins? I gave him an updated wallet 2 days ago (just simple graphical changes to get rid of the plain black circle icons) and he hasn't even merged it to github yet.
I am not a scammer and I hate not delivering. This coin was pretty much pushed onto me, it has stressed me to no end and I have broken down many times over the past week. I don't know C++, I don't know the ins and outs of the Bitcoin wallet and blockchains, and I can't possibly learn fast enough to keep up with updates and keep the wallet going with new features. I can't pay for devs because kassado took the 1.09% premine and gave me absolutely none of it to put out for bounties. I put my personal money into graphics, the tip bot, another awesome person put their money into the block explorer, I made everything except the logo, I've been promoting it, getting people using it, submitted it to Bittrex with all of the requirements. At this point I just don't know what else I can do. Unless I get some kind of help, or kassado wants to start helping, this is kassado's coin and I was just a regular person doing promotion, graphics, and accumulating coins just like any other of you. My work and time will have been wasted, along with all of yours. I'm not going anywhere. I'll be here, feel free to PM me, send me a PM on IRC, whatever. At this point, I have done all I can do. I still have my coins, I'm not dumping - here's my wallet CSTZExCCSKXnLdbaGZxeNtHW6oUZaXNbqx Title: Re: [ANN] [CUM] [SCRYPT POW/POS] Cummingtonite Post by: sensimilia on September 27, 2014, 03:07:51 PM why the fuck does he have the premine?!?

Title: Re: [ANN] [CUM] [SCRYPT POW/POS] Cummingtonite Post by: mxxxxxx on September 27, 2014, 03:47:01 PM Guys, I would love to continue this coin but I'm getting absolutely no help from kassado. I still have my coins, I'm not dumping - here's my wallet CSTZExCCSKXnLdbaGZxeNtHW6oUZaXNbqx bad kassado don`t worry kiely , head up! You are good person Title: Re: [ANN] [CUM] [SCRYPT POW/POS] Cummingtonite Post by: donnyespo on September 27, 2014, 04:05:44 PM Sounds like a takeover in the making.

I wasn't expecting a new dev to be found right away, if the wallets and mining are going smooth then theres no real panic to find help... price is getting low enough that it would be worth it to a dev to buy their own premine and offer to takeover don't put too much pressure on yourself Title: Re: [ANN] [CUM] [SCRYPT POW/POS] Cummingtonite Post by: InitialDat on September 27, 2014, 06:50:27 PM Damnit Kiely! lol j/k

Can't be too hard. Title: Re: [ANN] [CUM] [SCRYPT POW/POS] Cummingtonite Post by: kitaco on September 30, 2014, 11:02:04 AM May I ask why the Dev does not simply fix the staking issue ? He probably just forked the coin from another Stake-Coin and forgot to tweak the LAST_POW_BLOCK value or something similar.. Can't be too hard. Look at Rubycoin. It's stuck in block 124999 (the block right before PoS) and disabled on Bittrex. Do I spot a...coincidence? If he abandoned the coin, which seems the case, we should consider reviving this ourselves. It has happened many times before with success. The only thing we need is an answer from this Kassado.

I'm currently out of time but i'll give it a look later too.. When comparing Ruby with CUM its clear that it is the same codebase. I've made some tests and for me it looks like it is mining (staking) but the blocks cannot be signed by the wallet - not sure why though, its not a very trivial solution as far as I see. Someone with more time should look more closely. Technical stuff: SignBlock() fails with PoS blocks. Thats correct, your wallet tries to "do POS" but it rejects the blocks itself creates - thats why the network is stalled. Its exactly the same issue with Ruby btw.. I wouldn't take anything from that code. what your referring to is actually a section of the code that is returned when you do rpccommand 'getmininginfo' it doesn't actually have anything to do with the mining of the coin and as such would not cause the coin to fail in signblock.
