So what does it take to be a verified user of Bitcurex.com?

Verification rules at Bitcurex.com are very simple. To verify your account and get rid of the limits, you have to confirm data provided during registration with identification document such as ID, passport or driving license, and an utility bill - such as for electricity or gas - from the last 3 months, if there is no address in the document.

Verification process takes no longer than 24 hours.

Unverified user:

• BTC - deposits, withdrawals without limits
• EUR - 2,500 limit for deposits, 2,500 limit for withdrawals

it looks like there are assumed decimal points, but the number of decimals isn't even the same for PLN and EUR.  Also there's no longer a 24 hour volume or a last trade date in the api.

Hey Bitcurex, have you considered adding an easier method for 2-factor authentication? I started using Clef (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=965220) recently and it was much safer (in my opinion) and easier to use than traditional methods like Google Auth and Authy.

Would love to see this considered as an option for 2-factor on your platform.

In fact yes, we are thinking about it. We have a lot of different tasks right now, but adding an alternative 2FA is definitely on our minds.

Hey Bitcurex, can you please clarify something for me. Ok, so you have stated that if you are only depositing/withdrawing BTC, you don't have to provide any personal data.

What data is required if you want to sell BTC and withdraw to IBAN? Name, Address and Bank details obviously but if I understand you correctly, an unverified user (meaning no ID scans submitted) can sell BTC and withdraw fiat to the following amounts:

bitcurexed, long story short: as we can see from your posts, your account raised doubts, so you were asked by Security Department to verify your identity - in accordance to AML and KYC regulations. You refused and started to raise FUD instead.

Suggestion that a Bitcoin Exchange company is craving for your 300 EUR is quite far fetched...

I am usually on the site of customers in disputes like this. But AFAIK Bitcurex never scammed people and during their whole existence there wasn't any scam accusations against them.
If you use an exchange you need to be wary that they might ask for your credentials - it is in their ToS - if you refused, and won't give it to them. Well... they can't be blamed.

Those moaners are everywhere...

bitcurexed, in 99% of such situations - where someone makes doubtful moves and when asked, doesn't want to verify his identity - the reason is using fake personality. From our side it looks like you can't prove you are the person you say you are, and yes - we work under AML/KYC regulations and can't be ok with that.

You keep posting about not getting your 300 EUR, but you still refuse to answer, why you never even tried to prove we are wrong when questioning your identity.

So we ask you kindly again (10th time probably) to verify so we could close this dispute.

PS. You wrote that you are not willing to send any scans, why don't you accept our Skype verification?

Is there any other person filed complaints that I stole "his" money and sent it to you? You are even worse than paypal (PayPal expanding return window to six months).

So please stop asking for my ids or making other ridiculous requests, SEND THE MONEY BACK AKA REFUND JUST SIMPLE AS THIS (plus 9 months local bank interests if you feel sorry about having it for so long) or just do nothing like you always are til you are being contacted by regulatory authority.

Can I be a part of the new team?

I'd like to make a few million once we get enough investors.  Once a few thousand bitcoin come our way, a nice little 'hack' (i mean...oops oh no, we got hacked guys, sorry, peace out) will happen and the btc lost disappears into our pockets the hacker's pockets.  Can't wait until the next launch!  Glad to see your user's lost funds going into a new development of the site  ;D

Wait to see if their assurances about reopening will come true. It might be no over yet. They also promised to give back BTC to their customers.
Personally I don't believe in their promises. I am glad they weren't big international exchange and so far this hack didn't impact bitcoin price at all.

There's a story about it on cryptocoinsnews saying Bitcurex is forcing anyone who wants their money back to fill out a claim form that requires huge amounts of information. It's unlikely anyone will be able to provide it all so they won't have to give many BTC back to their customers if they do reopen.

They probably want original weekly wage slips going back 20 years stapled onto a paper form, no scans or photocopies allowed.
