Title: PCIe over cable - pcie expansion plates
Post by: tgmarks on May 04, 2012, 12:18:00 AM
Have you guys seen these?  I was at an electronics trade show today and saw a booth for these guys.  I had no idea these existed in the market right now.  They also have rack mount enclosures designed to accomidate full size PCIe cards.  I thought it was pretty cool.

There are quite a number of similar products. How much do those from Onestopsystems.com cost?

Yeah, they are available but you will pay a pretty penny. I can pretty much guarantee you that the blue board above wouldn't go for a penny less than $1000, probably closer to $1500. The board in OP might be closer to $750 or so.
