Title: bitcoin is a mystery
Post by: LordSonjai on September 23, 2014, 06:09:14 AM
no one knows where it is going,no one even knows where it came from.
It is funny how people tend to forget that so I like to remind them. Its even more so funny people are trusting bit coin with their lives.

Here is how its going to go down,
bitcoin is going to crash under a hundred dollars before it picks up again, its going to raise to a record high and it will crash off the face of the earth.

 :o

Just my prediction,I don't know shit about bit coin either but so far I have been right. eh em oh what was I saying, yes.

Putting your faith in bit coin is like TRUSTING ME WITH FINANCIAL ADVICE

Just cuz no one knows satoshi doesn't mean That no one knows the other devs or that the code isn't readily available in its entirety. You don't know shit about bitcoin because you choose not to research it, not because it's a mystery.

I did research it and I own 100 coins right this moment and my statement still is the same.
Every day on the bit coin news you hear about where bit coin is going and why, they show all these charts and every minute bit coin proves those charts to be false. When they tell you what bit coin is they explain the block chain, they explain its decentralized and everyone craps their pants with excitement. But no one KNOWS WHERE IT CAME FROM. No one knows where it came from no one even knows why it was created,no one knows the intention behind bit coin yet you trust it. Absolutely ridiculous. Every day someone is hacked losing their life savings losing their retirement money but no one talks about that right? Of course not no one wants to hear about that, especially if you live in bubble gum land where you think that crypto currency is going to save humanity from the tyranny of government.

Sure I have picked up a lollipop from the street and ate it but the next one could very much so be poisonous.

And of course all everyone has to say is "TROLL" "TROLL" "TROLL"

Yet you have nothing to counter my statement with so that is all you have,I am not a troll.
I speak the truth and you can take it or leave it.
The truth is you can read up on bit coin for a year, follow the news every day,buy up 10,000 bit coins, and write up a novel. In fact your novel can be than share by Opera but you know what?

WE STILL DONT KNOW ITS PURPOSE OR WHERE IT CAME FROM

NOW. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

And to the genius who thinks he is funny.

Big risk is a big gain, and a big risk is also a big loss. Thanks for reading my posts and confirming your interest.

Who cares since we all know (or have the accessibility to learn) how it works.

You are looking in the wrong direction. Where it came form cannot be changed. You said it yourself, don't lose sight of it.

No-one knows where it's going...

Thats the real game.

i think you are totaly right with everything you said, thats why you should sell your 100 coins as fast as possible.

i also would agree to help you, but only because you are smart and see that bitcoin is a big mistery and it will definitly go down.

so i propose to buy your 100 coins for a price of 100 $.

i think you should accept before other people will see the truth too and bitcoin will be worthless.

im only doing this because im the most or second most altruistic person on this planet.

But no one KNOWS WHERE IT CAME FROM

Some ancient mammoth-hunter said the same about fire: "Burns. Bad". Later on, tribal elders were saying the same about the wheel: "This bad. Father did not do."

It's ok to be skeptical about progress. Thing is, progress will still happen, whether you understand it or not.

Are you telling me that the FED is more transparent? You see, it does not matter who Satoshi is. What would it help you if you knew that the actual name of Satoshi is Enrico Palazzo from Modena/Italy? What matters is that the Bitcoin spec is completely open and that implementations are OSS. You are in the position to know literally EVERYTHING about Bitcoin. Being ignorant is your choice!

About where it is going: That is indeed what it distinguishes Bitcoin from the Dollar or the Euro where we have certainty:

"Paper money eventually returns to its intrinsic value - zero."

I think the "no one knows who Satoshi is" canard is going to get us a lot of mileage in terms of depressing the price. No need to kill that golden goose.

(Why is it important who Satoshi is if the bitcoind code is open source? Do you care about the name or full transparency into his work? If I told you Satoshi was Brad Pitt, what would change about bitcoin? What if I told you it was George Soros? Or the ghost of Pol Pot?)

Hmm, Bitcoin is a mystery you say.

I guess that's why we're in the Speculation thread.

Quote
Speculation:

1.
the forming of a theory or conjecture without firm evidence.
"there has been widespread speculation that he plans to quit"
2.
investment in stocks, property, or other ventures in the hope of gain but with the risk of loss.
"the company's move into property speculation"

No one knows for sure, I guess it is a mystery.

You don't know what the purpose of the first hammer was. Maybe it was made to crack open a nutshell. Maybe it was made to crack a skull. It doesn't matter, a hammer does a fine job driving nails into wood regardless.

Someone could do an orange Riddler suit with the Bitcoin symbol for Halloween...

To extend the quote:
"I cannot forecast to you the action of Russia. It is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma; but perhaps there is a key. That key is Russian national interest."
- Winston Churchill

and, therefore:
"I cannot forecast to you the action of Bitcoin. It is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma; but perhaps there is a key. That key is Bitcoin national interest."

OP is actually right, thinking you know what will Bitcoin do next is like trusting OP... not a good idea. It's all speculation. Even tho, I like OP's idea, I think the same, it will crash hard, then it will go higher than ever.

when bitcoin crashes below 200$ it will be considered a fail. Too high inflation.
Satoshi didn't calculate into the equation the speed with which things spread in the internet. Halving only every few years was an error.
Bitcoin below 100$ will mean people will switch to uno which halves down every 208 day, which is much more according to the nature of the net.
Bitcoin below 100$ will mean it will be cheaper than unobtanium then because that will first in price and then marketcap surpass it.
Again: bitcoin halving too slow, too high inflation.
If paypal doesn't get it off the ground now i'd consider bitcoin failed due to high inflation.
Uno is sha256 too. All mining gear can be moved over in very short time.

currently 30 new coins a day. After october 15 new coins a day. there you go.

Again: it is 2014 now. Bitcoin crashing hard now below 100$ will risk total failure. It will be very reasonable to replace it then with something more friendly to investors. Cut the inflation.

leg up now on paypal-news or dump it in uno, seriously. 9 months bear is insane. 3 months more and uno will take its place. Bubble or end of the road.

Satoshi thought of behaviour of society when he created the halving schedule. He did not think of the behaviour of the net. Error!
Things spread within days around here, not years.

Of course, please do replace it with whatever altcoin you put your money into! We will all follow you because I don't know why, we just will.

As for inflation, duh, it's guaranteed to be 50% *total* in the next 100 years, as 2/3rds of the coins are mined already. You want a coin that will stop producing before any infrastructure for it is created and which will completely disappear into void in a couple of years? Go ahead, suit yourself :) Please also try to persuade at least 1 Kilohash of mining power to follow you :) I'll laugh from here.

you don't know what you are talking about either which is my point,no one knows.
This technology just opened new doors that we wouldn't have even imagined. You can send thousands of dollars within seconds for a small fee as opposed to paying a 25 dollar fee to the bank that takes hours or even worse days. Bitcoin is 24/7 the bank is blah blah blah blah blah blah blah BLAH BLAH . My point is that even if bit coin disappears it couldn't fail because it just loosened the chains of economic SLAVERY  just a bit.

WHO WOULD OF THOUGHT we could transfer a sum of money in seconds, wow. You mean to tell me the banks were jigging us all these years?Wow. Who would of thought.
