Coinbase’s Toshi Node now supports Litecoin (self.Bitcoin) submitted 8 hours ago * by coblee We built Toshi.io to be as open and useful a bitcoin service as possible -- with the hosted version designed to be reliable enough to power your application while also opening up the code, giving you the ability to run it on your own when the time comes. We also know that many people are building services for other cryptocurrencies, and we want Toshi to be as inclusive and extensible as possible. That’s why today we are launching Litecoin support (https://litecoin.toshi.io) for Toshi, and we’re looking to add support for other cryptocurrencies in the near future. We’re continually working to improve Toshi - next up is a block explorer interface to allow easily viewing of the blockchain. Do you have any feedback? What would you like to see in Toshi? Coblee 8 points 7 hours ago Let's just say it was impossible (or really really hard) to get Coinbase to support Litecoin on the old backend that was specific to Bitcoin. This new Toshi node will power all of Coinbase's transactions and wallets and Toshi node fully supports Litecoin. We have not fully switched to the Toshi node yet.
