dwolla and mtgox are giving me issues about verification, i dont really want to use my ssn to verifiy something i may only use once. I have also read that paypal is a bad idea for buying coins. im stuck what should i do?

intersango does not ask you for verification i think, but i am not sure how cheap it would be to buy from the USA

yes, paypal is not a good idea to buy bitcoins, as you will only get in trouble with it

im trying to use mtgox, and possibly bitinstant to transfer cash. im just trying to figure out the fastest best way

would trust cash deposit at bank of america > bitinstant > mtgox be able to have coins available to me tonight?

I'm also looking for advice on the fastest way to buy bitcoins. Security being a secondary concern, how would one get started fast, just to try it out, with an inconsequential amount, like $5 or so?

Some people, including myself, will accept cash in the mail for BTC.  Cash is usually valued highly (no chargebacks) so I would pay Mt. Gox rate spot on if you sent me cash.  The only real fee for using this method is the cost of a postage stamp.
